The Second Amendment
Both Sides Get It Wrong!

The problem is, nowhere in any of this amendment can we
find any statement of ownership, by either people or the military.

“A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the
people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.”

The modern conservative is engaged in one of man's oldest exercises in moral
philosophy; that is, the search for a superior moral justification for selfishness.

Posting in redundant thread #355,879 regarding the 2nd Amendment.

A few things of note...

1) LOL at the article. Kinda hard to take a game programmer seriously.

2) The 2nd Amendment is 'Settled Science' by the USSC.

3) Still waiting on Boxy to give up his pistol permit(s)

1.???
2.  Yes settled by the supreme court:  From Conservative Supreme Court Justice Scalia:
~~~ Like most rights, the Second Amendment right is not unlimited. It is not a right to keep and carry any
weapon whatsoever in any manner whatsoever and for whatever purpose
: For example, concealed weapons
prohibitions have been upheld under the Amendment or state analogues. The Court’s opinion should not be
taken to cast doubt on longstanding prohibitions on the possession of firearms by felons and the mentally ill,
or laws forbidding the carrying of firearms in sensitive places such as schools and government buildings, or
laws imposing conditions and qualifications on the commercial sale of arms. ~~~
3. I support of the 2nd amendment and I support good gun laws. Why would I "give up my pistol permit."
1. Article by: Nathaniel Downes
Nathaniel Downes is the a native of New Hampshire, now living in Seattle Washington developing the next-generation super-powered MMORPG, City of Titans.
2. I don't think anyone here has said that weapons should be allowed to be carried everywhere at any time and by anyone.
3. But you constantly berate others as War mongering, gun loving, crazy nut bags just because they choose to own, but if you too own gun(s) than some would categorize you a crazy nut bag gunhugger as well.
NOTHING is ever settled by some 'supreme court' or any court for that matter.....
nothing is ever settled.....
the ebb and flow of fear and courage.....
the ebb and flow of control and freedom.....
...you are a product of your environment, your environment is a product of your priorities, your priorities are a product of you......
The replacement of morality and conscience with law produces a deadly paradox.
Same goes for the judges in Schenectady County Supreme court...have you ever been before them on in the court rooms? They look bored, sleepy and not very engaged in the case before them.
