They were towing on Brandywine, Albany St, Union St, Eastern Ave, etc.

$200 to get your car back.

$100 for the city and $100 for the tow company.

McCheese just made a fool of himself on Time Warner news. Bloated, incompetent, bloviating.
A "snow emergency" is completely unnecessary to enforce existing parking regulations.

Yeah, they are doing "snow removal" thus the special signs to move cars.  But with the numbers of streets and the weeks it will take, don't hold your breath that "your" street will get done.

This mayor is THE ABSOLUTE WORST.   Claims they don't have the money to do snow emergency and plow in 24 hours.   Well then hire some privates, buy some plows and hire employees!!!!!   It's the TAXPAYERS' money and the TAXPAYERS have a BIRTHRIGHT ENTITLEMENT to have their streets plowed well, timely, and in a way that will guarantee that snow will be pushed to the curb to prevent snow left on the street that could melt, and then refreeze causing MASSIVE DAMAGE to cars.  it HAS happened before!!!!

But the mayor and his dems only care about their precious downtown, and they give away the taxpayers to the millionaires and billionaires.

So, a cop got stuck on a street and that resulted in the city doing something for that street.

How many ambulances have to get stuck?
How many fire trucks will need to get stuck?
How many police cars will need to get stuck?
How many trash trucks will not be able to get through a street
How many school buses will have to get stuck.

Channel 9 uses the terms snow emergency, there is no such term in Schenectady.

Jack a** IMPETENT mayor has forgotten that last year we had snow, and don't forget 2010-2011!

Why do we non-Schenectady resident complain?  Because if the asinine stupid ideas of consolidation ever occurs, and we have leadership like exists now, and the wild spending on downtown, all the towns will be in as bad shape as the city!

Oh yes, who noticed in the paper today, YET ANOTHER gin mill is opening (a wine bar specifically).   Doesn't say how much taxpayer money is going to this one.   Why aren't any retailers opening so you can actually shop IN the city and buy things?   Where can you buy a new car?  Where can you buy garden and hardware and snow needs?   Where IN the city can you buy decent clothes?   Where IN the city can you by DVD's, CD's, electronics?.   Where IN the city can you buy decent toys?   Etc?

Optimists close their eyes and pretend problems are non existent.
Better to have open eyes, see the truths, acknowledge the negatives, and
speak up for the people rather than the politicos and their rich cronies.
