New years eve pipe broke past the old Grossmans. Around 5PM.   All traffic on that side of Erie from old Cumberland Farms to Nott St. being merged to opposite side to one lane.    Water still bubbling  up as of Thurs. 5PM.   Large pool of water frozen and some liquified.   Hydrant is solid ice.

SCHENECTADY, N.Y. – There is a water main break on part of Erie Boulevard.

All northbound traffic on Erie Boulevard has been reduced to one lane between Green Street and Jay Street.

Southbound traffic is not obstructed from the break.

Officials say crews are expected to fix the repair by Monday evening. Drivers should seek alternate routes during this time.

Vicinity of Morrettes, are they without water, like maybe the downtown millionaire political cronies don't like the competition?

Or maybe because politically connected and favored Legere is a tax deadbeat

Why you picking on Legere now?  Legere is up against Galesi.  You think that maybe he is feeling the same squeeze that STS Steel is feeling?  You think that he gets any support from Metroplex?

Who cares if Legere is up against Galesi.  the FACT is that it is yet ANOTHER rich political crony tax deadbeat who is getting LAVISHED with money from the financially struggling homeowners in the city!

They bought the Armory, a building with a market value of about $3.5 MILLION and assessed for $4.2 MILLION, and they bought it for a paltry, puny $250,000, a tiny percent of it's market value.

And because we have some, one certain poster who claims I lie, well, here is the EVIDENCE !!!

And here is the EVIDENCE

Now on top of that, the city is RAPING the homeowners BIG TIME !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The homeowners will be on the hook for HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS of dollars in taxes on this building, and here is the EVIDENCE !!!!!

We are actually DOING something (contrary to DV's claim that we don't DO anything).   We have done research and this is information that homeowners in the city need to be provided with, so go ahead and print it out and give it to as many homeowners in the city that you know.

The current total tax bill should be $186,000, and look above how much the city is forcing the homeowners to fork over to the city dems rich political cronies !!!

The combined tax rate is approximately $43 per thou.  On an assessment of $4,233,300, that makes a 2015 tax bill roughly $186,288.  Now of course, we know it is a FACT that the city's tax base is falling massively and it is a FACT that the taxes are increasing.

Assuming the ballpark of 1.5% tax increase overall (between city, county, and city) each year for 10 years, that would mean a total tax that would otherwise be paid of almost $2 MILLION, specifically $1,993,798.  And based on the PILOT, they will have paid only a PALTRY $395,000 !!!!!!!!!!!

So LeGere, who are rich political cronies of the city and plex AND ARE TAX DEADBEATS on almost every property they own IN the city, will be lavished with the financially struggling homeowners paying a WHOPPING $1.6 MILLION of a approximately $2 MILLION tax bill!

CHEER CHEER!!!!    RAH RAH   !!!!!!    "The city is in a renaissance."   "The city is improving"

CHEER CHEER !!!!     RAH RAH !!!!!   "The mayor and his team are doing a wonderful job."    YUP, the mayor and his team are doing a wonderful job RAPING THE HOMEOWNERS of the city!!!!

The city would also be introuble if everyone paid on time and they didn't collect the 25% tax penaltys.  If everyone miraculously started to pay on time it would help in the long term but there wouldn't be a decrease in taxes.  The would use it up.  Wait until you see how much past due taxes were collected by the city in 2014.  Its a big number.  They knew it when they did the 2015 budget but are still using $3 million plus for expected unpaid/late pay taxes.  Businesses in the city are also being raped. The amount also depends upon who they know and they don't know.

But in failing to collect taxes on time, the city needs to borrow money and that has interest attached to it so one cancels out the other.

The city borrows money at rates a quarter of the penalty.  The city needs late payers.  Again,  if everyone paid up and then paid on time going forward the "windfall" would be a one time event and then the city would be in the same shape financially.

usury/fees

While the practice of direct slavery is widely banned across the world, in some places debt-slavery is still practiced.[38] A debtor who is found unable to repay a loan can be placed in a state of debt-slavery, a situation where-by their life and labors are directed by the lender until the debt is considered repaid.[39] Usury is often a major part of extending this slavery, not uncommonly assisting in extending the debt-slavery onto the children of the debtor, thus making slaves of multiple generations and promoting child labor.[40] Another form of or name for this practice is debt bondage.

"When money is lent on a contract to receive not only the principal sum again, but also an increase by way of compensation for the use, the increase is called interest by those who think it lawful, and usury by those who do not."
