such as its $3 million price tag and the $200,000

Second, Mexican Radio will start paying a P.I.L.O.T. in year 4 of its operation.  The P.I.L.O.T. will be 50% of the property tax bill and will increase 5% every year until it reaches 100%.  Which means that a) Mexican Radio WILL BE PAYING TAXES and, more importantly, 3 buildings in our central business district that were literally on the verge of collapse have been stabilized, renovated/redeveloped and house a functioning business.  That seems like a pretty good deal to me.  I  haven't noticed the lying nayboobs bothering to invest even a penny of their own money downtown or anywhere.
"A Payment in Lieu of Taxes agreement between Metroplex and Mexican Radio calls for the restaurant to pay no taxes for three years. In the fourth year, the restaurant will pay 50 percent of its property tax bill, with the amount increasing in 5 percent increments until the bill reaches 100 percent in 2026, said Ray Gillen, Metroplex chairman."

Third, it is interesting that the lying nayboobs have suddenly shifted the topic of this thread away from their deliberate and indefensible lie.  But then that is the kind of behavior everyone expects from a low down, no good nayboob.

They "invested" $3 Million?   Then, DV, EXPLAIN WHY the has a market value of only $2 Million?    Can you explain why the city gave them such a low assessment of LESS THAN $2.5 million?     How come DV????   Oh, of course, doesn't believe it.

Then you say it begins paying taxes in year 4.   DV, do you have the GUTS to respond and tell us WHO is paying the taxes on the building now????    Who DV?   Who is paying the taxes for these politically connected rich?     Well?    Oh yeah, no answer because it is far too embarrassing for you to admit that the financially struggling homeowners in the city are paying the FULL TAX BILL of Mexican Radio.  And the homeowners are FORCED to pay the taxes for Mexican radio and if the homeowners don't, then they lose their own homes!

Optimists close their eyes and pretend problems are non existent.
Better to have open eyes, see the truths, acknowledge the negatives, and
speak up for the people rather than the politicos and their rich cronies.

if you are a taxpayer in the county...why don't YOU go to the folks who implement these assessments and ask these questions?

They have only been open for a little over 6 months.  So I am not about to count them out just yet.

In all likelihood none of the Plex connected enterprises will be allowed to fail.
