Here we have AGAIN the latest FACTS, the latest TRUTHS about Schenectady and surrounding cities.  

The home sale median prices based on sales covering the first 11 months of 2014 as compared to the same period last year 2013.

The NUMBERS of sales for the period covering the first 11 months of 2014 as compared to the same period last year 2013 is here.

Once again, Schenectady is the ONLY city that is seeing a reduction in BOTH home sales AND home sale prices.


Wow, and the numbers for the month of November 2014 alone compared to November 2013 show a WHOPPING 56% REDUCTION in home sales in the city of Schenectady!   But again, as any intelligent person knows one month's sales alone is not an accurate indicator.  However, we know for a FACT and the EVIDENCE proves, that month after month, cumulative sales in the city are FALLING

More PROOF, more EVIDENCE people do NOT want to live IN the city of Schenectady

The Voices Full of Poop always perfect a disappearing act when confronted with the facts which are supported with EVIDENCE.  

So let's watch for the customary "yawn" as there will NEVER be a comment addressing the ever falling home sales and home sale prices, nor the ever falling tax base in the city.     Such a delusional voice ever claiming the mayor and his team are doing a wonderful job, claiming the city is improving, the city is in a renaissance.   Month after month, year after year, falling sales, falling sale prices--is that indicative of a city in a renaissance?       




Optimists close their eyes and pretend problems are non existent.  
Better to have open eyes, see the truths, acknowledge the negatives, and
speak up for the people rather than the politicos and their rich cronies.

What happened to Mayor McCheese's home buying program? Another total flop. No one wants to buy property in a City where taxes are higher than mortgage payments. The implosion continues and
the DEM cheerleaders keep jumping up and down over demolition of unwanted homes. So you can pay more-no?  No plan-no clue-but don't change anything and re-elect the same idiots in Nov.

The build downtown at taxpayer expense, building for billionaires and they take the billionaires buildings off the tax rolls.

They choose to avoid going after the property owners of the dilapidated, buildings, they avoid seizing their assets to pay for the demolitions, instead the insane leadership of the city chooses to make financially struggling city homeowners pay for the demolitions, so more properties taken off the tax rolls.

Those to FACTS above mean MORE REDUCTION to the city's tax base.\


The past 10 years of city leadership has lead to removing long existing taxpaying properties being taken off the tax rolls which intelligent and smart brains like ours know is causing a massive reduction in the city's tax base.  Those who cheer for what the leaders are doing are not taxpayers after several years posting on these boards, the cheerleaders NEVER engage in discussion about the falling tax base which has been proven direct from the tax rolls of the city.

And intelligent people like us know that removing properties from the tax rolls does NOT lead to a reduction in spending by the city, it just leads to an increase in taxes.


Yep, the mayor's taxpayer funded home selling program is massive failure and we all know that his biggest cheerleader even refuses to move INTO the city. - the Democratic Voice of Hypocrisy

And we all DO notice that when the BIG cheerleader is presented with FACTS. with TRUTHS, with EVIDENCE, he avoids any discussion whatsoever.   Ronnie will NEVER discuss the failing homes sales in the city

I'll tell you guys a little story in a TL;DR version.

Bought house for $109k in '02.

Decided to sell house in '12 because A) taxes too high and B) Schenectady just sucks

Put house on market for $75k due to it needing a bit of updating and knowing that the market sucks.

Steadily dropped price during the over full year it was on the market.

Finally sold it for the ghetto low price of $35k.

Wow,  you "must be lying" because it has been stated that the city is improving, the mayor and his team are doing a wonderful job, the city is in a renaissance.  Funny how those who make those claims won't respond to facts and truths like these.

Curious, what was it assessed for when you owned it?  Did you ever look up the current assessment roll to see if the new owners grieved the assessment?
