This just in! More renaissance news from Downtown! Madison Handbags which ventured into lower State St and promised 40 new jobs just last year is
fleeing Downtown at the end of this year. They received a $40,000 facade grant from the oppressed County taxpayers and have now announced they are folding their tent. In
2014 40 new jobs-In 2015 zero new jobs! Located at the former Girl Scout office on 131 State Street. Another waste of taxpayer resources, no jobs created and the band played on. Their is no renaissance. We have lost thousands of jobs Countywide since the DEMS took over this County and Downtown property values which were suppose to stabilize
and in free fall. There are several more disasters on the horizon. County finances are a mess. City finances are a mess but of course the one party morons are not to blame.
Maybe it's the Greens?

NYS will come to the rescue with some gambling scheme ....

the NY Downtown Lotto.....all it takes is a dollar and hidden extortion

The replacement of morality and conscience with law produces a deadly paradox.

Interesting.  Is this written in news somewhere?

I remember reading something recently about them, somehow thinking within the past 6 months, it was either an expansion to another location or something about the handbags themselves, maybe a different way of making them or something, can't remember.

Optimists close their eyes and pretend problems are non existent.
Better to have open eyes, see the truths, acknowledge the negatives, and
speak up for the people rather than the politicos and their rich cronies.

A dollar and a dream? More BS about job creation and renaissance. It never made any sense but typical of the "plans" around here. They will continue in Troy without the
Metrograft largess. Just like the movie studio, Big Hose, Van Dyke I, II. More Election Day job news for the Goebbels mailers. The only ones getting ahead are the DEM friends and
family club.

MC you probably saw that they are changing their name, and also making changes to how the business is run. They are Monet now. I'm wondering if they need to change a little to keep up with fashion trends. I hope they are doing okay. I really don't think there were ever 40 new jobs, I think they just moved some existing jobs here because they got a good deal on space.

I suppose we should be counting our blessings that we haven't handed money over to that soon-to-be-worth-zero mall.

EXACTLY! The reporters read this for news not the other way around. Thank you Sanfordy for restating what insiders already know. Instead of bread and circuses we
get over priced martinis and peanuts. How about a free show or drink for all County taxpayers who have shouldered this DEM confiscatory burden for eleven years?  Keep the
implosion going.
