Oh can you believe this! (in the gazette today)
The school board member who has not paid any taxes going back to 2011 (well, at least not school taxes) is suing the county for not getting a promotion. The suit might have validity, highest score on civil service test and most seniority, but there may be things we don't know so without knowing the county's side perhaps we can't comment. Although the county dems would probably come out with some lame excuse
However, the point to be made here, you can look up her salary, she makes $60,000, in fact two years ago she got paid $70,000. She got her high paid taxpayer paid job in 2002 and in 2003 she bought a house from the city for $6,000 (six thousand), and she gets a $10,000 mortgage (no repayment schedule, no interest). You work for the county in one of these generously paid jobs, you are fully capable of applying for a conventional mortgage for sure.
But then, a salary of $60,000 and she doesn't pay her school taxes? Unbelievable. And WHY is the city not taking her house?
Share this with people you know how are taxpayers in the city and be sure to tell them that they, as taxpayers, are paying for her and her unpaid mortgage (there is no record of "discharge" or "satisfaction" of mortgage) and her three years of unpaid school taxes. |
