no one has ever seen a poor democrat or a poor republican with power.....if they wield power they are puppets

...you are a product of your environment, your environment is a product of your priorities, your priorities are a product of you......

The replacement of morality and conscience with law produces a deadly paradox.

Box, you support forcing everybody to buy health insurance, you support forcing people to own energy efficient light bulbs, you support restricting what people can put in their bodies, you fear any suggestion of eliminating government mandates as being an anarchist.  YOU ARE BY DEFINITION AN AUTHORITARIAN.  You just think in this upside down country that your authoritarianism is left wing.  The fact is, most democrats and republicans are right wing fascist authoritarians, and have been for decades.

Cissy ALWAYS gets it wrong.  I support everyone having affordable health care.
I could be persuaded to a plan that let the wealthiest of Americans forgo the plan... providing they posted a
bond in excess of any possible health costs that could be forced on the rest of us.

Energy efficient light bulbs?  Another Cissy stretch!
No one is forced to own energy efficient light bulbs.  I still have some incandescent bulbs... Cicero's
Light bulb police have not yet visited my home.

AND "you support restricting what people can put in their bodies"
Are you talking about smoking???
I would discourage smoking since it is one of the countries leading killers... but I don't out law them.
I do propose that those who smoke pay the cost of their addiction.  Today much of that cost is put
on the Taxpayer.

philosophy; that is, the search for a superior moral justification for selfishness.

You support limiting how much ammo a gun can hold and what type of weapons a citizen can own, all while exempting government agents from the same AUTHORITARIAN regulation.  You've shown yourself to be an authoritarian fascist time and time again.  To the point of obsession.

Why do they have to post a bond?  What "forces" the costs onto the rest of us?  OH...A law that forces everybody to pay for those that can't or choose not to save for their own medical care.  So you would be fine with forcing somebody to be bonded, to prevent their medical care to be paid by a welfare program everybody is forced to pay into.  And this makes you less authoritarian how?

Like most of Cissy's rants, the wheels seem to come off the bus just as Cissy is approaching a turn!

This is about being an authoritarian???  Cissy's thought process seems to ricochet around the board
at will.

How's your Fascist Definition Renaming Going Cissy?

Not renaming, I'm even using YOUR definition...see..
Quoted from Box A Rox

fascist
noun
1. An advocate or follower of the political philosophy or system of fascism
2. A person who is extremely right-wing or authoritarian
Oxford dictionary

You have endless material showing your authoritarian tendencies.  Whether it is your support for limiting the number of rounds a gun can carry, what type of gun a person can own.  What medical insurance coverage a person must have.  How much a person must pay for tobacco.  Or forcing a business to bake a wedding cake for someone they don't want to.  You LOVE the authoritarian power to make laws forcing people to behave exactly the way you expect them to behave.  If not, you will punish them with fines or jail.

If there wasn't a government for you to push your views onto everybody within the geographical area the government governs, I suspect your life would become meaningless, and the world would just seem like total anarchy without you having some sort of sense of control.

And you get angry when people like me that do not want to participate in elections, an exercise that selects powerful authoritarians to subjugate powerless people.

Funny.  After reading your response, the one thing that stood out above all the other misconceptions...
I get angry???

Cissy... Bubby... I won't say NEVER, but I will say almost NEVER get angry by things posted on
this board.
I can think of only one time that I ever approached "angry" in all the posts I've read here.

If you read any of my posts as "angry" then that anger is in your perception, not my presentation.

(Once again, Cissy gets it wrong)

As for your failure to vote... I would encourage every citizen to vote for the candidate of his choice.
But considering your views, I'm quite happy that you refuse to take part.

1. My concern with firearms is for safety, not control.  Smart guns are a good choice, because they
leave the freedom to own a gun, but prevent much of the safety issues of gun ownership.
2. My concern is to promote affordable health care for all citizens.  I consider health care coverage a RIGHT,
just like education and justice... something to work towards, not something to deny.
3. I don't care what people pay for tobacco... I just want them to pay the full cost of their addiction.  That
is not the case today.
4. Bake a cake??? A baker can bake any kind of cake he wants. And sell those cakes to anyone who wants one.
5. I want laws to protect our citizens, not to enforce behavior to my personal preference.

1. smart guns? technology wise?
2. affordable is subjective, health care is NOT the same as medical care.
3. paying the full cost of their addiction is like saying, subjectively, 'fair share'. it means what?
4. you'll never know if that baker washed their hands.
5. laws ARE coercion of behavior, via penal/civil consequences/penalties for some people's preference. ie: late fees on credit cards
tickets etc etc

being 2015 doesn't change human nature....there are 2 choices.....

pre-crime based on fear
innocent until proven guilty based on facts

as the years have moved on it's become, pre-crime based on fear to get votes......and now it's 2015

If Republicans were behind stricter gun laws, you would be calling them fascists.
