The modern conservative is engaged in one of man's oldest exercises in moral
philosophy; that is, the search for a superior moral justification for selfishness.

Historical correction

The Carter Doctrine was a policy proclaimed by President of the United States Jimmy Carter in his State of the Union Address on January 23, 1980, which stated that the United States would use military force if necessary to defend its national interests in the Persian Gulf.

It was a response to the Soviet Union's intervention of Afghanistan in 1979, and was intended to deter the Soviet Union—the United States' Cold War adversary—from seeking hegemony in the Gulf.

The following key sentence, which was written by Zbigniew Brzezinski, President Carter's National Security Adviser, concludes the section:

Let our position be absolutely clear: An attempt by any outside force to gain control of the Persian Gulf region will be regarded as an assault on the vital interests of the United States of America, and such an assault will be repelled by any means necessary, including military force.

Why aren't 'moderate Christians' stopping the radical Christians from bombing Planned
Parenthood clinics?  Or stopping Radial Christians from attacking innocent Muslims in
the USA?  Why aren't 'moderate Christians stopping Radicalized KKK members from
attacks in the name of Christ???

Why aren't American secular statist's stopping the federal government of the illegal and immoral invasions of sovereignty countries?  Killing, maiming, and displacing millions of  innocent men, women and children, then celebrating the returning men and women that carried out these slaughters as "heroes".  Why didn't these secular statist's stop the torture carried out by the Federal agents?   How could this relatively small group of people occupying the federal government carry out this destruction, bringing death and misery to millions of innocent people worldwide on the name of American Exceptionalism?

Whenever I hear one of boxy's justifications for why Obama's DOJ never prosecuted the Bush Administration for the illegal invasion and massacre of innocent women and children, I always picture boxy as Coronel Jessup from "A Few Good Men" sitting behind his computer in his Dress Blues.

"YOU WANT ME ON THAT WALL...YOU NEED ME ON THAT WALL!!!"

This is boxy when he is defending abortion and gun control.
