and I stated:
"Regardless, I don't believe anyone or any organization "justifies" using human shields
for any purpose. "

Not sure what your issue is with what I said, especially since it did not attack your
words but rather agree that there is no justification!

Your response to bumble.  You questioned bumble's skepticism whether Israel's claim of human shields is even true.  You listed organizations or authorities that confirmed that Hamas used human shields.  I posted AI that states that there is no evidence that Hamas ever used human shields.  And I never claimed you said it was a justification, I posted that even if Israel claims Hamas used human shields, AI doesn't accept it as a justification for bombing civilians.  It's still a war crime.

I agree, there is no justification for using human shields, or bombing civilian targets knowing the "enemy" is using human shields.  But all that aside, there is also conflicting evidence whether or not human shields were used.  That's the more important point I was making.

There hasn't been a president in the last 25 years that hasn't made a public address to the nation to announce a US bombing mission.  Americans are oblivious to that fact.

I listened to part of the address and Obama claims ISIS/ISIL is a national security threat.  Then he goes on to say Iraqi ground troops will be fighting ISIS/ISIL with help from US air support.  So let me get this straight, Iraqis and Syrian rebels are fighting ISIS/ISIL to defend American national security?  Was George Orwell Obama's speech writer?

Yes Cicero, the Whitehouse wants to arm and train Syrian (moderate) rebels to combat the (extremist) rebels we armed and trained to overthrow Assad, which is the leader we are now helping to fight the rebels created by us to fight him. Hit the Twilight zone music

Jesus Christ, Henry. How many more times will it take for you to understand that WE DID NOT ARM ISIS. We didn't want to give weapons to 'rebels' because we didn't want them to fall into guys like ISIS hands.

It's just a rehash of last year's plan. While it might have had a chance last year, it sure as hell isn't going to have a chance now. The 'so called moderate' FSA is pretty much in tatters.

Why are Syrian rebels and the Iraqi army fighting and dying to protect US national security?  Does that make sense?

It makes as much sense as invading Iraq for 9/11.

Iraq must be like Puerto Rico, an unincorporated territory of the United States.

So they are not fighting for their respective countries, etc. They are fighting to save America.....now that is hilarious and
really stupid interpretation of what is happening. Do you even read what you write? Show us where it is stated, or has been
stated or announced that they are fighting to protect the US........

Well Obama said ISIS is a national security threat.  If that's the case, then why is the USG using a ragtag rebel army to protect the US from this threat?  Shouldn't the marines be used to protect national security and not foreign rebels?

If you haven't read how all this goes down, then why should I be the one to try to educate you....
others have tried and obviously failed.

Again, show anything to prove your claim they will be fighting to protect us!  Can't you just do that????
That should be real simple for you to prove your statement, since you brought it up.

I watched the video of the speech, I assume you watched it.  Obama said ISIL is a national security threat, and he wants the USG to arm the Syrian Rebels and assist the Iraqi's with airstrikes.  Who's national security is ISIL a threat too, Syria and Iraq?  That's my simple question.  I don't know if the "rebels" know they are fighting for US national security.  But the president is conducting airstrikes and asking congress for $500 million  to arm and train these rebels, all in the name of national security.
