782,000 rounds of depleted Uranium is enough to build a couple hundred nukes.

782,000 rounds contains .3% of U235.

Grind them up, dump them in a centrifuge and ya got full strength weapons grade Uranium.

Plus massive birth defects and cancer clusters.

But hey, the government would give American kids depleted uranium if they thought it worked as good as condoms.

Don't worry, it will only be a radioactive wasteland for 4.468 billion years.

Obama authorizes 1,500 more troops for Iraq

WASHINGTON (AP) -- President Barack Obama is authorizing the U.S. military to deploy up to 1,500 more troops to Iraq as part of the mission to combat the Islamic State group.

Obama is also asking Congress for more than $5 billion to help fund the fight.

The White House says the troops won't serve in a combat role, but will train, advise and assist Iraqi military and Kurdish forces fighting IS.

White House press secretary Josh Earnest says Obama has also authorized the additional personnel to operate at Iraqi military facilities outside Baghdad and Erbil. Until now, U.S. troops have been operating a joint operation center setup with Iraqi forces there.

The announcement is part of a $5.6 billion funding request to Congress and came just after Obama met with congressional leaders Friday.

But.....But.....But.....No boots on the ground!

But hey, Obama lying is commonplace. Other than this lie, did you hear about the one today where Obama said he wants to work with the GOP?

Man that sh!t was funny!

Said it's the only way the US can move forward and meet the needs of its citizens?

Bipartisan is always good!

1st Iraq War - bipartisan
2nd Iraq War - bipartisan
Afghan war - bipartisan
Patriot Act - bipartisan
TARP bailout - bipartisan

Recent examples of bipartisanship put the U.S. TRILLIONS in debt.  Killed hundreds of thousands of people.  Took away a great deal of civil liberties.

Can't wait for more bipartisanship.  It the only way to move forward with more war, more debt, and LESS freedom.

I agree, the legislation was sponsored by two republicans.  But it was passed with help from 58% of the Democrat Senators.  It would have never passed on a partisan vote.  49 republican senators voted in favor.  Not enough to pass on their own.

Yah, but you didn't include the House version....much more partisan
215 (96.4%) of 223 Republican Representatives voted for the resolution.
82 (39.2%) of 209 Democratic Representatives voted for the resolution.

Over a decade of training wasn't enough, why aren't the Iraqi's we trained now training new recruits?

If you combine the Senate and House support by democrats(58% and 39%), it's about 49% Democrat support.

lack of desire and motivation....why should they when the US is there for them!
They just make a phone call and we come running....they say they will pay us for
defending them, but no money ever changes hands.

There is money changing hands.  $5.6 Billion from the US taxpayer to the military industrial complex.  ISIS defeated much of the U.S. trained and armed Iraq army with small arms mounted on pickup trucks.  What the f*** is the $5.6 billion for?  We can just put sugar in the gas tanks of thier pickup trucks and stop them.
