Is that what I posted Cicero???
Did I post something I heard at the donut shop??? Or at the Gun Club??? Or at the Church supper???

My post was:
According to the Social Security Administration, has a $2.7 trillion surplus and can
pay 100 percent of all benefits owed to every eligible American for the next 21 years.

A little different than... "the janitor at the local SS building said............."

Oh, I forgot, you referenced a reliable source lie.  Do you still believe there is $2.7 trillion surplus?

I don't know if the amount is true or not.  I posted a story from a "reliable source".  Nothing more.

Anti govt fanatics hate that So So Security is so successful.  They want it to fail even if it means they
will live their "golden years" packing groceries at Price Chopper.

and packing groceries in one's 'golden years' isn't bad.....we have become lazy slobs who now 'NEED' social security to
call it a reward-retirement....

retirement is NOT the same thing as stopping work...one can retire at 40-50years with planning.....SS wasn't made for
retirement...and even if one gets SS it's still the lowest...if you were a low wage earner you will be a low SS earner....

if you feel so bad about your neighbor having to pack groceries then 'adopt an elder'.......

...you are a product of your environment, your environment is a product of your priorities, your priorities are a product of you......

The replacement of morality and conscience with law produces a deadly paradox.

Just look at your social security check and let me know who issues it.  I'm pretty sure it's issued by the Treasury, not the SSA.  How much money does the treasury have?  Yes, as much tax revenue they collect and the government borrows the rest.  The federal government only collected $2.8 triilion in 2013.

No surplus, just IOU's.  Who's going to pay those IOU's?

SS isn't mandatory.  Amish are not required to pay into the system because they have an
alternate plan.  US farmers were not required to pay into (or collect) SS until 1954.

Cissy wants to "opt out" of the payments, then when he's elderly, destitute and starving, he wants
in on the benefits.

Maybe you missed the part where I said Social Security is paid out of the General Fund.  Unless you are suggesting I don't pay income tax or federal gas tax, or any of the other federal taxes that go into the General Fund.

I can decline the Social Security welfare benefits, but I am still forced to pay into them for those of you that want your social welfare payment.  MANDATORY.

It's just so fitting....
