"I saw the best minds of my generation destroyed by madness, starving hysterical naked, dragging themselves through the negro streets at dawn looking for an angry fix,"
Again, the Town Board has led all of us on another dance.....Buffardi stated "contract" has to be in best interest for all......and notes Town attorney has taken
over and revised the language once again.....question and confuse......now it's about documentation and maintenance......is this really necessary
when the service is is about caring for the people of this town???........it will be a contract for 5 years....and this REGIME will be long gone....
SIGN IT AND BE DONE WITH IT.....IT'S THE PEOPLES CHOICE.....and these STALL tactics are unnecessary...
REGIME HAS THE WRONG PRIORITIES.....TAKE CARE OF THE INFRASTRUCTURE ...BEFORE EVERYTHING GOES DOWN THE DRAIN.....
Not many ROTTENdamians are in favor of their current town board.........HOWEVER......Is this the same contract language that would have been used if Mohawk got the bid? Making sure their fleet is maintained on a regular basis seems fair and reasonable. Nothing wrong with documentation either.
On the flip side.......with all of the money that these town attorneys get....one would think they would have gotten the wording in the contract right the first time.
In an educated, on the ball town...the leaders would have drafted a contract FIRST, offered it to the ambulance provider. If the provider was not in favor of it....GOOD-BYE! But in the redneck town of ROTTENdam....the leaders awarded rems the bid....BEFORE...a contract was written and negotiated!! A$$ backwards.
But what more can one expect to come out of such a backwards town like ROTTENdam!!!!
It should have gone to Mohawk!!!!

Everything I read and hear seems to indicate the same. However talk is cheap, and I wonder come November, will these same voices go to the polls and vote. Past history would seem to say no. I guess we'll have to wait and see.
Other than Supervisor, are any other board seats up for election this year?
As to REMS, it's become a total clusterfuck. Where does Angelo stand on the issue now? Guess he couldn't influence his relative to side with the opposition this time. Or did he even try.

Beg to differ....you must be a consultant or politician ....the people wanted REMS.....the people.....not you or the REGIME.....the people...
you may be right about some things but not all....it's a damn game...who is on first and who hits a homerun..
and God forbid if the people get what they want.....the attorney for this Town is a sham.....and she sits on the platform next to Buffer....and body language
speaks volumes....cahoots...
the draining of the taxpayers money is something that has been and will always be ......
Sign the contract and be done with it....then move on to what is the biggest problem ...the smoke hasn't cleared yet to know that the infrastructure
needs to be addressed......as Collins put it.....another consultant that's wasting money...'cause no one is listening....
WHAT A JOKE....THIS IS ONE DANCE THAT ISN'T THAT POPULAR
HAHAHA....when was the first/last time rems EVER had a contract? why do they need one? not to mention....neither side can't/won't agree on it's language. sometimes it takes YEARS for unions to agree on a contract.

and sometimes the REGIME plays the game to blow smoke for other reasons....like the failing infrastructure in this town..everything is going down the drain...
and sometimes the REGIME plays the game to blow smoke for other reasons
this so called 'blowing smoke' has been going on with the last THREE regimes!!! even fdg didn't want to touch it....no contract. and the regime before made their own deal.....no contract. again..........why and who says they need a contract? rems or the politico's? when was the last time rems had anything that resembled a contract?

There are NO seats on the Town Board up for election this year.

Supervisor??

Ok, I found the answer. Viscusi and Calder next year. And Buffardi in two. DVOR was correct.
Basically, we are attached to another object by an incline plane wrapped helically around an axis for another year at least.

Town Supervisor and 2 Town Council seats will be up for election next year -- 2015.
Of course, my perspective is that it gives us at least 18 more months of good leadership and good government.
