Pope Francis jumped into the migrant children debate the US is having and demanded that these children are welcomed and protected instead of being immediately sent back home. There are many Catholic politicians and pundits like Bill O'Reilly who not only want to turn the children away, but are demanding a military response and presence to be included in controlling the border.

I'm sure the Pope will open the doors to the Vatican and let them live there
"In the beginning of a change, the Patriot is a scarce man, brave, hated and scorned. When his cause succeeds, however, the timid join him, for then it costs nothing to be a Patriot."
Pope Francis: "I demand you welcome and protect these kids America, these are after all Gods children"
America: "Sorry Pope we don't have the money to care for them, although it seems the Vatican has the room and resources to take care of them, so they are all yours."
Pope Francis: "WAIT...STOP.....where am I supposed to put them?"
America: "Not our concern, remember Pope these are God's children see ya later"
Pope Francis: "Holy S*?#, I need to learn to keep my mouth shut"

do folks still follow or even listen to what POPE ALMIGHTY says now?????
When the INSANE are running the ASYLUM In individuals, insanity is rare; but in groups, parties, nations and epochs, it is the rule. -- Friedrich Nietzsche
“How fortunate for those in power that people never think.” Adolph Hitler
Here's the difference...The vast majority of the border violators are children...they cannot and will not be able to be gainfully employed for YEARS. Most of them have no family in the US. They WILL be a burden to our social system. There is a legal process to immigrate..in fact 6.1 MILLION people are in that process... but, f*** it, lets just tell them to have a coke and a smile while we deal with people that don't think they should have to wait.
"Arguing with liberals is like playing chess with a pigeon; no matter how good I am at chess, the pigeon is just going to knock out the pieces, crap on the board, and strut around like it is victorious." - Author Unknown

'back in the day', when folks came here to Ellis Island....they were required to have shots and needed a sponsor (family or friend) that would be 'responsible' for them. I would think that disease would be one major factor here....kids or not.....no?
this is a common sense issue....yes?

A study published in the July issue of Cognitive Science determined that children who are not exposed to religious stories are better able to tell that characters in “fantastical stories” are fictional — whereas children raised in a religious environment even “approach unfamiliar, fantastical stories flexibly.”
In “Judgments About Fact and Fiction by Children From Religious and Nonreligious Backgrounds,” Kathleen Corriveau, Eva Chen, and Paul Harris demonstrate that children typically have a “sensitivity to the implausible or magical elements in a narrative,” and can determine whether the characters in the narrative are real or fictional by references to fantastical elements within the narrative, such as “invisible sails” or “a sword that protects you from danger every time.”
However, children raised in households in which religious narratives are frequently encountered do not treat those narratives with the same skepticism. The authors believed that these children would “think of them as akin to fairy tales,” judging “the events described in them as implausible or magical and conclude that the protagonists in such narratives are only pretend.”

Oh good! Then the people in non religious families won't believe in the fantasy terrorists, global warming, or war on women. It's about time kids(and adults) stop playing make pretend and start growing up.
