So I walk into a restaurant with my date for the evening. I look around and see everyone enjoying themselves, and no one "open carrying". I have my 9mm (legal concealed carry permit) inside my jacket. About 1/2 hour later, a single male enters the restaurant. He doesn't look like a regular, based on his dress and somewhat "nervous" actions. I see he has an AK strapped to his side (i.e. open carry). So at this point, how do I distinguish between legal open carry and criminal open carry???? What I do next or how I continue to observe is predicated by that answer....but I don't know the answer...........makes me uncomfortable and a little nervous at this point. Even others in restaurant seem to display some discomfort at the appearance of this person. Personally, I would be on alert and preparing to pull my 9mm if the need arise....but it may be to late if this is a criminal open carry!
