Oh look, it's spreading throughout the city - it has spread to a better neighborhood
Let's have a round of applause for Mayor McThief and his ignoring the city neighborhoods

Armed bandit stirs Schenectady's Upper Union street area
Staff report Published 12:53 am, Tuesday, July 1, 2014
SCHENECTADY — A call about a man with a gun robbing someone brought a wave of Schenectady police officers to the Upper Union Street area late Monday afternoon where one man was taken into custody.
Details from police about what happened were still unclear at 11 p.m., but an officer at the scene said shortly before 5 p.m. the bandit allegedly displayed a gun and was attempting to rob someone near the Price Chopper on Eastern Parkway.
Police were called and a chase ensued onto Central Parkway, the next street over.
At least seven patrol units arrived and began combing the area. A side yard fence was knocked down by the suspect as he attempted to flee into backyard and a nearby alley. But he was quickly apprehended and taken to custody.
No injuries were reported but the fast-paced action drew a small crowd of spectators — mostly residents arriving home from work. One woman, apparently oblivious that the suspect had just passed her doorway, came outside in a bathing suit as if to greet her adoring fans.
The name of the man arrested by police was not immediately available. Several police officers stayed in the area to search for a gun which they believe the man dumped. No word on whether it was found. And with children out of school for the summer, that could especially be a concern.
Optimists close their eyes and pretend problems are non existent. Better to have open eyes, see the truths, acknowledge the negatives, and speak up for the people rather than the politicos and their rich cronies.
