since city taxpayers are footing the bill for all the homes advertising{?} and pictures etc do we get a cut of the sales commission on closing day when any of the h.m.o.e.s. sell or is that another crony realtor perk?

I've wondered that too. I suppose the realtors and/or bank might pay the money, after all, realtors do get their commission, so I'm maybe they pay for those ads. And that might be why they are putting pretty much only the fanciest houses in the ads. Think of it, has the gala tour included houses in the heart of Hamilton hill? Or in the MP neighborhood (exclusive of what might be perceived as the nicer area of MP between Michigan and Altamont Aves). Or in Eastern Ave that lower section?
But then with this past open house there was this housing fair with reps from government agencies. Seriously, government people are going to go do a housing fair on a Sunday, especially of a major graduation weekend, and they will do it without OT? Unless this is all funded by another government, i.e., taxpayer funded grant.
But one thing is for sure, the city MUST provide a detailed accounting of this program, how much money came from where, what houses were listed (if they forgot, they can look on these boards), how many houses actually sold and for how much, what mortgages are being backed by the taxpayers, etc.
Optimists close their eyes and pretend problems are non existent. Better to have open eyes, see the truths, acknowledge the negatives, and speak up for the people rather than the politicos and their rich cronies.

.... but someone should at least ask...most here already know the answer..lol
So how come the cheerleader for the city, DV, hasn't responded here. He claims he is in the city all the time, brags that he goes to see the mayor.
