Loads of people of all ages came to Downtown for a WONDERFUL, FUN-FILLED event.  It was great event to celebrate the RENAISSANCE of the City-County of Schenectady.

guess there is competition with events in the area too....how greedy can u get...compete with a church??????...no way..

the idiots that planned the downtown do not talk or compromise with no one but the people with money....

and as far as naming it a BEACH PARTY???.....why not......MONEY RENAISSANCE IN THE CITY NIGHT.....

glad people came and had a good time....at least there is some good in that night...

'cause there is no other events that are meaningful.......not like the old days......and never again will be.....

and Central Park???.....a lost cause.....can't even enjoy a game of softball (adults) without dome drama from the thugs ...

The best part was meeting folks that I hadn't seen in almost 30 years.

I am in the city EVERY DAY .. I work in the city.
The people that I ran into were visiting family in the city and came Downtown for the festivities.

You do NOT work in the city.   Your employment is in hotsy totsy Niskayuna with the upscale rich people.

If you really did work IN the city, you would be posting comments about how people in the city are struggling financially to pay the taxes, and how they have to decide between buying medicinde or paying the crazy axes in order to have a roof over their heads.   You would be posting about how people are being cited for minor code violations and how they don't have money to fix up their homes because they have to fork over the money to the millionaires downtown.

If you worked in the city you would talk about how unfair it is that children have to go to the park to get a meal because their parents are paying high rents to a landlord to has to pay high taxes  to the city to pay the taxes of millionaires or the parents of the children are paying the taxes of the millionaires and can't afford to feed their children.

IF you worked IN the city you would be speaking about all the abandoned houses you would pass by every day and you would be posting that the city needs to address the high taxes that cause the blight and foreclosed homes.

But since you cheer for the city spending wildly, uncontrollably on downtown while people lose their homes to high taxes they have to pay for the millionare political cronies of the city's DEM leaders, we ALL know that you are telling your big fairy tales again
