This man was detained by law enforcement for taking pictures, luckily he knew his rights but they didn't like that so later on he got a visit from the Joint Terrorism Task Force, however once again he asserted his rights which you can tell pissed that agent off I'm sure this isn't over. This happened in Albany.

Although I don't agree with detaining the individual for taking pictures while on public property, I must defend (only) the uniformed Trooper. He handled himself professionally and respectfully. The others seemed unfamiliar with the law and the rights guaranteed to U.S. citizens who they are sworn to serve and protect.
I'm all for exercising your rights as a citizen when confronted by law enforcement, especially in these times when law enforcement acts more like a paramilitary unit.
But this guy is purposely looking for a confrontation in order to exercise his rights. Let's be real here, he's in front of State Police HQ like he's scoping the place out, so he can be internet famous.
Let's stick to exposing the wrongs of officials, of those who abuse their power, instead of cheering those who are purposely trying to antagonize a confrontation.
His mission failed. The only thing he proved is he is a dickhead.

Depends, in the beginning of the 1st video he appears to be in the middle of an actually story, it doesn't seem as if he was out to cause trouble or draw attention to himself. We have to remember they confronted him not the other way around, taking pictures is not illegal and is not grounds for detainment. Also he was under no obligation to produce identification and everyone there knew it because no crimes were broken. Its interesting they would send the JTTF to his house and ask him questions like if he is a sovereign citizen simply because he exercised his rights, that's the real scary part of this video is that they tried to link him to them because of him exercising his rights.

Look at the LIVE LEAKS site were he posted his story. Reading the comments from frequent users, appears this guy is accused of doing similar things before. Most comments were negative about him and how he was baiting for a story. What's even more interesting is that his ID shows he is from Costa Rica. If L4L's info is correct, he must be here on a student visa going to SUNY.
I also don't know the law, but I have always understood that Police have the right to ask for ID and you have the obligation to produce it. In today's environment (post 9/11) paranoia has crept into our lives and drives some of our actions. If he was legitimately looking to do a story, then any half-witted journalist wannabe would know enough to contact the Police Academy ahead of time to explain....he didn't. I think he was looking to create a story.
JUST BECAUSE SISSY SAYS SO DOESN'T MAKE IT SO...BUT HE THINKS IT DOES!!!!! JUST BECAUSE MC1 SAYS SO DOESN'T MAKE IT SO!!!!!
3. In New York, you are not required to carry ID, and you don’t have to show ID to a police officer. If you are issued a summons or arrested, however and you refuse to produce ID or tell officers who you are, the police may detain you until you can be positively identified.
And it would be just as simple as "Sorry, didn't know I couldn't take pics here. Here is my ID" and the whole thing would be over and there would be no issue...unless you have something to hide. WHAT'S THE BIG DEAL!!!

Exactly .. he was just being a dick.
We are advised NOT to judge ALL Muslims by the actions of a few lunatics, but we are encouraged to judge ALL gun owners by the actions of a few lunatics. Funny how that works.

It's not that simple. First of all he was on public property.
Second even if he showed ID he still would have gotten the visit the next day.
