What do they all have in common? Nice houses, nice neighborhoods. But they are empty. The owners have fled the city, didn't even want to stay in the city while waiting for their homes to sell.
Some have been available for sale for a very long time.
No one wants to buy a home in the city. Is that indicative of a city that is improving? Is that an indication that the city is in a renaissance?
I respectfully ask DV to engage in adult, civilized, intelligent conversation and explain why people aren't willing to buy nice homes in nicer neighborhoods of the city. I can fully understand people avoiding Hamilton Hill, but maybe DV can enlighten us why people won't buy in the nice neighborhoods.
Forgot to put the address on this one, it's 1538 Wendell Ave and was listed for sale April 30, 2011 (this is the one exception to the owner fleeing the city, they bought another house. But still, why no one wanting to buy in the city that is improving? \
And this one I didn't put the address on the bottom, it is 1077 Glenwood Blvd, which was put up for sale 10/14/12

My wife's co-worker is getting married and is trying to sell her house in the Waverly place area...She has done extensive remodeling work in the 5 years since she bought it. It is actually a beautiful house inside. She is asking 20K less than she bought it for. She has had it for sale for 4 months... People have been through it but the same three things keep being mentioned:
Taxes too high for house value Bad school district Undesirable neighborhood
No offers so far..
My friend who is a real estate agent says she will be lucky to end up getting 100K for the house. This is a microcosm of how the rest of the city is suffering so some downtown business owners and their developers can be successful.

if you're going to list houses like this - it might be beneficial to list the addresses in TEXT - so search engines find it. That way if potential buyers are looking, this may come up in the results.
We are advised NOT to judge ALL Muslims by the actions of a few lunatics, but we are encouraged to judge ALL gun owners by the actions of a few lunatics. Funny how that works.

Hey, great idea. The potential buyers will learn the truth from us intelligent people about how the city is stealing the city homeowners tax dollars and give it to the rich. Word will get around, the city will be a ghost town that much quicker.

Oh my those are really nice. But where do you find the prices. I still almost want to convince my parents to move here from in the town. I rent from my sister and brother inlaw and they live upstairs and I know they'd have to do a lot to change the house for handicapped. But my parents could do it much easier and these are magnificent and we would be in a one family house.. Where are the prices found because I'd like to show them.
Is this the real estate agent's list because who is it? Thank you.
