is the lady Mary D. on at 1 minute 50 seconds on the board? If so we are screwed, she acts like everything is fine in dandy in the city.
Yes "Mary Mary" is on the assessment board, naturally, her cheerleading for the Mayor and her hubby's political connections to the mayor and Metroplex, i.e., a political crony, really is unfair to the homeowners in the city. Members of the Board of Assessment are supposed to be impartial and fair and make their decisions based on what is real and factual, but of course, McC appointed her because she is a crony of his.
My understanding is that there are 5 members, however when a homeowner chooses to appear in person, the homeowner will be seated in front of just 3 members of the board, I believe it would be the chairperson plus two members. However, I believe also that all 5 members review and make the decision on a grievance. That seems odd, does it not? You can appear and speak your piece (and peace) in front of three people, but two people who did not hear what you said still can vote.
Now something else, unrelated on that video, watch at just about 6 minutes and 52 second into it, the mayor claims that the list of open houses will be on the city website. ROFLMAO. NOT !!!!!!!!! As of this moment, Monday May 19, 2014, noontime, the list of houses on the "gala bus tour" are the ones that were on the tour from Feb 16, 2014. And remember, because people are NOT buying houses IN the city (and DV won't even so much as rent IN the city), the March gala was cancelled. There was none in April.
Something else, this press conference as they call it (there was no news media present by the way), was NOT held on Sunday at the start of the tour. Must be the overtime costs. Of course with all the graduations and proms and such, few people would be out looking at homes anyway.
And I have to laugh, the mayor said in this about getting pre-approved. Is he for real, people CANNOT get approved during a gala bus tour. Getting approved requires a great deal of verifications. What a STUPID mayor. There are a handful of higher priced houses, well, houses with high prices, i.e., overpriced. But the vast majority of houses in the city are NOT going to be purchases by normal everyday middle class people. If anything it will be by people who may be renters with lower incomes and absolutely positively not way can they can approved quickly. Generally they will need taxpayers subsidized mortgages and those mortgages take months to get approved. So this is more evidence that the mayor does NOT know what he is talking about and therefore he is NOT qualified to be a mayor and lead a city.

Difficult to believe that their income qualifies for enhanced STAR. Come on, a working architect with is own company, "working" for Metrooplex ???
And a real estate agent who actually shows more higher priced houses OUTSIDE of the city where house actually sell!
Obviously money given by plex projects to political cronies can be covered up easily.

on the board of assessment? Is there a list of names?
I'd say contact Vince Riggi, he's the only council member who would give you an answer, the rest of them would probably have to ask permission form the mayor to divulge the names.

Is the Frank Gilmore in Glen the same Frank as Mary Mary's husband? There could be two people with the same name

Gilmore and his wife Mary — the couple were married about four years ago — own another home in the Stockade in Schenectady, where they spend most of the year. (For a long time, this Glen home had just been Frank's space.)

Very excellent find! Yeah, I merely glanced at the story. How I suggest that you contact the news media and Vince Riggi

What is it with "friends" of metroplex and city hall who are on the high end income level getting away with this, when us commoners have to struggle just to pay taxes and maintain ONE house?

Bought the place for $230,000 in 2003 - under Mayor Al & Co.
And under the dem leadership, look how the dems have caused MASSIVE REDUCTION in home values!!!!!!!!!!!!!
These 10 years of dem leadership have caused this house alone to go from a value of $230,000 down to $113,740!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And actually the $113,74 is what the city claims is the market value, the ALL the evidence has shown that houses are selling below what the city claims the market value is, so the dem leadership in the city have caused their home to lose half it's value !!!!!!
Cheer cheer. Hey, DV,. shake those pom poms!!!!!
What do you have to say about this DV????? What do you say about how the dems have cause such a massive reduction in home values in the city.
DV will NOT comment because he is too much of a coward to do so; it's far too embarrassing for him to admit what the dems are doing to ruin the city.

If it takes going to the state, the feds, the IRS, the books need to be opened.
The amount of Metroplex money given to Gilmore's company year by year must be made public. And that needs to be compared with what he claims is his income.
Then the books of Producential must be opened because they are in cahoots with the taxpayers mo9ney too. Since Mary Mary is paid with taxpayer money to sit on the Board of Assessment, AND Prudential is the company that is the favored one so so speak on the gala bus tours and open houses, there some suspicious stuff going on there so her income needs to be made public. Doesn't matter that it is a private company. Prududential benefits from the city taxpayers money.
The vast majority of open houses on the gala bus tour are houses for which Prudential is the agent. That THAT is an ABNSOLUTE UNDISPUTABLE UNDENIABLE FACT
