According to my City Hall informers the City legal department is about to finalize 600 tax foreclosures, throwing families into the streets and further tanking City resale
values. This is the outcome of 40 years of DEM featherbedding, PILOTS for connected millionaires and refusal to cut any useless program. My advice to the hundreds of property
owners with for sale signs in front of your homes-TAKE ANY OFFER before the end of the month. The shrinking City tax base is shrinking again but don't worry you can pay more
-No? This applies to all County property owners because the effects will be devastating for everyone including renters.

Meanwhile, in the bizzaro world, the City's failed homes "program" won an award at the Chamber of Commerce. Mayor McCheese was a no show adding to the rumor mill. Either King Peggy "I will not run again" or Lisa Perazo will be the losing machine candidate for Mayor. Lifelong DEMS are counting the days until Election Day 2015 when the REP/Alliance
team will sweep City Hall.

Is the timing of this finalization of the foreclosures suspect.  Does delaying these 600 keep the assessed values on the roll longer?  ie.  when would we see the new roll with these 600 removed?

we were looking at foreclosed properties in the 'real nice' developments in the county last year.(and there were a ton of them)

We were told by the banks, realestate agents and the repo folks that a foreclosed home in ANY neighborhood AUTOMATICALLY drops the value of all homes in that area by 20%.....right off the top.

so where ever these 600 foreclosure are.....expect all homes/properties in those areas to lose 20% of their home value.

this is a FACT that they fail to tell people when they are cheerleading!

And of course these will. NOT be included in the "new listings" that the MLS reports.

Is this why McC cancelled the March gala bus tour of open houses in his taxpayer funded real estate business?

Has he fired Mary Mary yet?

Did he tell those non-taxpayer MBA students what true real estate experts and other financial people say when 600 foreclosures hit the market for the students to use that information for his "tweaked"  HOMES program?

Maybe the MBA students decided to tell him to get lost, that he is a big failure?

Renaissance indeed!   ROFL.    And King Philips taxpayer funded spy on the council talks in her uppity voice about a renaissance too.

But NONE of the dems, nor their cheerleader, nor their beneficiaries will EVER speak about the MASSIVELY FALLING tax base, in the city.

NONE of them will EVER state exactly homeowners are getting in return for their FORCED "investment."

Neighbors of ours, their son and his wife bought her parents' house in the city and showed us messages back and forth between them and queen Leesa. which have been pleasant.  But they had been getting annoyed at a few things lately and asked her about home values falling, she hasn't responded since.   See, it's all a big embarrrassement for them and they just avoid speaking about it in public.  The ONLY councilman who actually speaks to the people, does not keep secrets, is Riggi.

All these foreclosures are City only. With the many County foreclosures the total will be over 1,000. This will devastate all County property owners. Besides a foreclosed property will not be maintained. The
20% figure loss is conservative. Smart buyers are looking in Saratoga County where County taxes are 75% lower. This is also why we had the County DEM dog and pony show that was at Town Hall last
Monday. The power point presentation with the phony job numbers and baloney about horrible roads by TJ Hooker was a real hoot. How come Schenectady County has the highest poverty rate, teen aged
pregnancy rates in the Country? Mexican Radio and another bomb at Proctor's do not a renaissance make. Between the foreclosure and road disasters every DEM is in trouble and they know it.

People need to get out of Schenectady quickly, and relocate elsewhere, because Schenectady is going the way of Detroit. The landlords, are going to walk away frome these properties because of high taxes, putting innocent renters families out on the street. When your downtown, take a good look, the buildings facade is falling down, parts of it is sinking in the ground literally, why would these developers continue to build there knowing that it's sinking and can't support the weight of the construction. When the Dss men's shelter apartments is done, you can expect, the crime wave to go through the roof, that's the Schenectady way though, build or rehab a previous construction on contaminated land (G E) and let them get sick and die.

There's at least two foreclosed houses on my street, one across from my house , other up the street a couple places. One has been empty for at least four years, both are sort of minimally maintained. Grass is cut maybe once a month, absolutely no snow
clearing. Couple more foreclosures I know of up around the corner.

The REP/ Alliance will clean up the foreclosure problem that the DEMS created! VOTE REP/ ALLIANCE IN 2015 SWEEP! McThug needs to get out of the real estate business. The foreclsoures needs to be given away for free to people who has the money to bring these foreclosures back to life and back on to the tax rolls. Tax payers will see their neighboorhoods improve drastically along with their home values and the City can finally pass a budget with no tax increases. McCarthy has failed misreably handling the city foreclosure crisis. MCCARTHY AND THE DEMS GOTTA GO. VOTE THEM OUT!

The Alliance/REPS will sweep if they promise and deliver a major tax decrease. Last time they talked about "caps" at record confiscatory levels. This applies to the County as well. The real estate market is flooded with peeps trying to sell at any price to get out of Schenectady County tax hell. 4X Saratoga County--3X Albany County both of which are getting or out of the nursing home business. Not Schenectady County where the SEIU inmates run the asylum. Huge SEIU donations given DEM County Legislatures and YES votes to build a new home. But that is business as usual to the reporters around here and no cause for a scathing story. Meanwhile the library is crying about cutbacks in hours and personnel. They need to open bars at all branches. Then maybe they could get funding from County leaders-no?

Schenectady is a magical city. It has a hypnotic effect. Most people cant leave. Their entire world is here.  Most people have left or have had many chances to leave,  most have returned  . Why  ?  Who knows.  No one will tell you. ?

Schenectady is for old people and the people who have jobs takinging care of the old people.. with few exceptions.

people like Salami and Pat Z  think a new politician will change the town. A new leader ?  really ?  No one short of a messiah could change anything..  .

The people here are stuck here. They have made some bad decision- probably going back to their early 20 s.
O dont tell me how nice it was in the 90 s . Look at the PR hhype from the 50s and 60s Schenectady was sputtering then..

Look in the mirror , take a deep breath and ask yourself why do I live here ?

I have looked in mirror, and took a look, and I don't like what I see.I thought I was here for my family, cousins, aunts nieces etc,but they even had sense enough to take flight, and move to the outskirts, niskyuna, scotia, gloversville, and I respect theirdecision to do so.Now me and my wife, are looking to get out,I am 45 and was born and raised here,I truly love Schenectady and the people, but it's time to move on.If I rattled your nerves,I apologise, but schnectady is a diffrent place, made up of people from other places, more recently, and I feel that Schenectady, is on its last leg, even if taxes were dropped down significantly it would not make a difference!

It is well noted that the coward DV will NOT speak about the foreclosures which are major evidence of massive failure and incompetence of the current dems.

City foreclosing on homeowners because the homeowners could not afford to pay for the gin mills downtown.
