When Henry posts about CRIMINALS, he doesn't consider these people CRIMINALS, but the
rest of NY state does.  For Henry, any gun law is an "UNJUST LAW"... just because he
says so.

Gun laws like magazine capacity are more laws creating victimless criminals.  Better start building more jails.

Criminals like Adam Lanza??? Oh... wait... he wasn't a criminal till his non criminal
mom supplied her non criminal son, with an AR 15 and 30 round magazines.

BTW, the reason that those 1st graders died from their wounds is because non criminal Mrs Lanza,
owned 30 round magazines and her non criminal
son shot most of the victims multiple times...
Some of those 6 and 7 year olds were shot 11 times each.

I realize that for GunHuggers like Henry, their imagined RIGHT TO OWN 30 ROUND MAGAZINES
outweighs the right of 6 year olds not to be shot 11 times... because Henry NEEDS his large
capacity magazines for his imagined UPCOMING RACE WAR.

Box is fine with 15 dead children, he draws the line at 16 dead children.

Cicero is fine with hundreds of thousands of dead children...
and all he will do about it is post this nonsense.

Box as for Adam Lanza he was a sick, evil person. He became a criminal once he killed his mother.
His mother had legal guns and is given blame.

Today another mass shooting at Ft Hood.
Do you fault the government for allowing the soldier to have access to guns?

You cannot legislate evil.

If someone is sick and demented enough to go out and kill innocent people, NO LAWS on the books are going to stop them.

Adam Lanza DID have access to 30 round magazines... because they were legal.  As a result
little boys and little girls were shot multiple times... some of them 11 times.

Had 10 round magazines been legal and 30 round magazines outlawed... it's likely some of those
shot would be alive today.
Most law are enacted to "legislate evil" or to at least limit it's damage.

"Gun nuts storm Albany to oppose year-old SAFE Act"  (NY Daily News)

Quoted Text
Gun nuts storm Albany to oppose year-old SAFE Act, which makes more sense than
these Astorino supporters
A rally in Empire State Plaza featured a crowd of Second Amendment-crazed gun
owners, opposing a law that has been on the books for more than a year and ended
up doing nothing the naysayers feared.

next step will be tanks coming down the driveway to take their guns away."

If ten rounds was legal he would have just reloaded    He was out to kill.
And one child killed was one too many.
Like I said you can't legislate evil.

And if he only had access to 7 round magazines, the killing would have been over a longer time
with more time spent reloading or changing magazines...
possibly saving a few kids... but GunHugger's "IMAGINED RIGHTS" are more important than a few
kids lives.

Exactly what is the purpose of a 30 round magazine???
Why is it superior to say a 20 or a 10 or a 7 round magazine???
Why is it so important to shoot 30 times at a deer, or at a woodchuck, or at a target???

Actually it was 3000 according to plaza officials and honestly not loud at all really. I work close enough to the plaza to hear the various goings on.
I was outside at lunch and didn't hear much...I could clearly hear the rally they had last year.

Box do you blame Adam Lanza's mother for allowing him access to guns and not getting him more help?

If you do, do you blame the US government for not following through on Hasan who they KNEW had communications with terrorists and NO formal
investigation was ever done?

(CBS/AP) WASHINGTON - The FBI was too concerned about political correctness and did not launch an investigation into a man who was later charged
with killing 13 people in the 2009 attack in Fort Hood, Texas, despite significant warning signs that he was an Islamic extremist bent on killing civilians, according to a lawmaker briefed on the new report.

In emails to a known terrorist, Army Maj. Nidal Hasan expressed his support for suicide bombings and killing civilians, while the terrorist, Anwar al-Awlaki, encouraged Hasan to stay in touch.

"I would assume that (a) suicide bomber whose aim is to kill enemy soldiers or their helpers, but also kills innocents in the process is acceptable," Hasan wrote in one of the e-mails to Awlaki, according to CBS News correspondent Bob Orr.

In total, Hasan wrote 18 e-mails - only two of which Awlaki replied. Most of the other e-mails were more benign.

One response Hasan received from Awklaki was about helping the Fort Hood terrorist find a wife.

"Tell more about yourself," he wrote. "I will keep an eye for a sister."

The review was done by former FBI Director William Webster and was more than two years in the making.

The case has drawn attention to U.S. intelligence lapses. Less than a month after the Fort Hood rampage, the Pentagon's top intelligence officer sent the White House a report detailing an earlier failure to connect the dots, CBS News correspondent David Martin reported in 2010.

Much was already known about the series of oversights and missteps the government made leading to the terror attack at the Fort Hood Army post.
Soon after the attack, it was revealed that members of two FBI anti-terrorism task forces saw emails between the Army psychiatrist and al-Awlaki beginning in December 2008. Those task forces reviewed the communications and decided they were in keeping with Hasan's research at the time, and as a
result, no formal investigation of Hasan was opened. Hasan was writing a research paper about the effects of combat in Iraq and Afghanistan.

I blame Adam Lanza's mother for allowing her son access to weapons.
SOMETHING THE SAFE ACT SEEKS TO PREVENT.

Had the SAFE ACT been law in Newtown, and Mrs Lanza been a 'law abiding citizen', her
son Adam would not have had access to his murder weapon.

NY SAFE ACT:
"You are required to safely store your gun if you live with someone who has been
convicted of a felony or domestic violence crime, has been involuntarily committed,
or is currently under an order of protection."

How about you RP?  Do you oppose this part of the law?
Do you consider this "unconstitutional" too???

Box you need to explain this as the "Safe" Act section you quote would not have pertained to the Lanza'a???

And safely storing guns is common sense    Any law abiding gun owner knows that.

Oh and you skipped over Hasan, was the government not at fault for knowing there were severe issues and not following through???

Ms Lanza was a 'law abiding citizen', yet she didn't secure her guns with a known mental patient
living in her home.
The SAFE ACT requires that "law abiding citizens" secure their guns.
Common Sense is not a major personality trait of most GunHuggers, and had Mrs Lanza, a GunHugger,
had any "COMMON SENSE" her guns would have been secured.

Do you disagree with this part of the law???
