Paul won 31 percent of the vote (compared with the 25 percent he won last year), beating a crowded field of more than two dozen names, including a number of potential 2016 GOP presidential contenders. He crushed second-place finisher Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Tex.), who came in with 11 percent.
Yup RP, I posted that information in another thread a few hours ago. See below:
RAND PAUL WINS CPAC!
Paul Wins CPAC Straw Poll
Quoted Text
Sen. Rand Paul demolished his competition in the 2014 CPAC presidential preference straw poll, winning 31% of the vote -- nearly three times the total of second-place Sen. Ted Cruz, the AP reports.
Sen. Marco Rubio suffered a huge drop from last year, falling from 23% and second place to 6% and seventh place.
Randy Paul's dad, then-Rep. Ron Paul, won the straw poll twice on a similar libertarian-minded message, though he never managed to get even 1% of America's vote.

Look at all those old white men....oh wait the majority were 18-25 the least were in boxes age group
"In the beginning of a change, the Patriot is a scarce man, brave, hated and scorned. When his cause succeeds, however, the timid join him, for then it costs nothing to be a Patriot."
The Paul Twins seem to be experts at buying 'inventing' votes in straw polls, that never, ever, not even once, translate into actual votes in an election.
It does kind of make their "great CPAC victory" meaningless!

Forget the text, just listen to Palin's voice. She sounds like a "brainless Bimbo"! Listening to Palin give a speech is like listening to fingernails scraping on a blackboard!
Reading Dr Seuss is way beyond Palin's ability. Why would anyone listen to this dolt??? Other than her 3rd place as Miss Alaska, what has Sarah ever accomplished???
Sarah Palin is an embarrassment to the Republican party and an insult to actual QUALIFIED Republican women who could have helped McCain in his presidential bid.
IMO, Sarah Palin has about the same political qualifications as Paris Hilton, only Paris may be smarter.

Didn't they indict Ron Paul, and then also Scott Walker? Box? Didn't you predict this or was it just unintelligent and uneducated use of cutnpaste?
"While Foreign Terrorists were plotting to murder and maim using homemade bombs in Boston, Democrap officials in Washington DC, Albany and here were busy watching ME and other law abiding American Citizens who are gun owners and taxpayers, in an effort to blame the nation's lack of security on US so that they could have a political scapegoat."
Prosecutors overseeing the two high-profile investigations of Gov. Scott Walker's aides and associates have gone to great lengths to keep what they're doing secret. But last week they identified two individuals caught up in the probe by listing their initials in court documents. One of the individuals is Kelly Rindfleisch, a former Walker aide who was convicted in 2012, and Eric O'Keefe of Wisconsin Club for Growth. Here’s What A Conservative Minority Outreach Event Looks Like
CPAC is in full swing, hosting a range of conservative speakers and holding discussion panels on various situations facing the GOP. On Thursday, CPAC hosted a panel on minority outreach. The panel consisted of conservative strategists Jason Roe, Elroy Sailor and Robert Woodson, along with Virginia Senate candidate Ed Gillespie. There was just one problem: The ballroom was nearly empty.
How to keep the GOP the Rich White Guy's Party!
Quoted Text
John Hudak, Fellow of Governance Studies at the Brookings Institute, took a picture of the empty ballroom at CPAC about 10 minutes into the panel. He said that it was a missed opportunity for CPAC attendees, because it addressed a very crucial question: “How do we grow our ranks in areas where we traditionally underperform?”

Sixteen percent of Republican Party members and independents who lean toward the GOP say they would be likely to support Sen. Rand Paul of Kentucky for their party's 2016 presidential nomination, narrowly edging out Rep. Paul Ryan of Wisconsin, according to a new CNN/ORC International poll. Ryan, the House Budget Committee chairman and 2012 Republican vice presidential nominee, is at 15%, with longtime Texas Gov. Rick Perry, who's considering another bid for the White House, at 11%.
Former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee, a 2008 GOP presidential candidate, is the only other possible contender tested in the survey who cracked double digits.
In the potential race for the Democratic nomination, it's the same old story: If Hillary Clinton runs, she would start the race as her party's overwhelming front-runner. According to the poll, 63% of Democratic Party members and independents who lean toward the party say they'd favor Clinton as the Democratic nominee, with Vice President Joe Biden a very distant second at 13%.

YUP! Polls are fickle things but as of today, Hillary would beat all GOP contenders.
