Sort of
Did you hear on the council meeting, McC's puppet clerk is going through to eliminate reference to boards/committees. Tuesday in the Park, the Music Haven Stage, and there was another one referencing the park
PROOF POSITIVE the city is cutting services to the taxpayers while increasing the taxes on the homeowners in order to exempt the rich political cronies from paying taxes on their downtown buildings.
On a separate note, that Jason Planck was excellent as he spoke alluding to lack of accountability, lack of proof that all these 100% tax exemptions are benefiting the city. Sad thing is the council and the mayor totally ignore him.

| Optimists close their eyes and pretend problems are non existent. Better to have open eyes, see the truths, acknowledge the negatives, and speak up for the people rather than the politicos and their rich cronies. |

The lack of accountability and lack of proof are due to the fact that there ARE NO BENEFITS to speak of. We've got your number, McCheese. On the brighter side, I see where a gentleman from Amsterdam was picked up for spray-painting on a wall in a vestibule on Liberty Street at 2 a.m. on the weekend. Oh what a vibrant nightlife we have downtown. |

I could give 2 shIts about central park...............REALLY!!!
I would be more concerned about crime, drugs, infrastructure, snow plowing and lowering taxes.....AND........ taxing ALL of the METROPLEX/GILLEN developments.

Judging by the way Tuesday in the Park was a victim of its own success, a lot of people do care about Central Park. There would have been dozens of people happily skating on the lake this month if the city could have gotten its act together. The city pours money into expensive entertainment mostly for adults, and much of it involving alcohol, they can damn well maintain free, outdoor, daytime recreation for families and others, IMO. I still don't know why there is a vehicle parked outside the administration building there, every day. Is whoever owns the vehicle in there, and are they getting paid, and what for? |

in all due respect here............'happily skating'????? if they can take the time out to 'happily skate'.....then damn it.....they should be at the city council meetings with pitch forks!!! These same folks who bit@h about their high taxes, crime, crumbling infrastructure and plummeting home values. hell if that's all it took was frozen water in the winter and warm water in the summer to make these overtaxed folks happy.....GIVE IT TO 'EM!! |

I don't understand the animosity toward people who enjoyed skating and would like to see it continue. Skating on the frozen lake, which is already there, doesn't cause anybody's taxes to rise, nor did canceling skating lead to lower taxes. People who have complaints about how their money is spent are not "bitching", either. |

my point is..................I don't understand how folks can make an issue out of 'happily skating' when the city is a sh!thole. Happily skating would be like making sh!t shine. If happily skating was going to generate votes..........there'd be skating. |

Something good, well they were removing snow on my street BUT they hit a fire hydrant sending a river of water down Albany St. |
