Mr. BBQ is the name of the place that took over from Pig Out. I hope they do better. That consignment place over behind the bank left. Rumor has it that the owner of a closed business owed big taxes and fled the country. I do wish we could get some general merchandise type business up here, or even a dollar store. |

Isn't the news stand store next to Dunkin Donuts closed as well? Up for sale. |

Yep. Jason Candy or whatever it was is gone, the florist has been gone, there's a new phone place where the shabby furniture place was, plus a Phil Steck office. I would like to see a real business go in where the Phil Steck place is, that is basically an empty storefront. A new hair salon moved in where the one barbershop was, she used to be downtown, I wonder why she left the renaissance? There's a lot of jewelry, and hair places, I hope to see something different come in. |

Phil Dreck has an office-when is it open? Another useless phony for Shelly Silver and downstate interests. Upper Union Street does not even have a grocery store. Salamack's is a distinct memory. Every neighborhood business district in the City is in free fall under this DEM tax orgy. But the sheeple keep voting DEM fossil. Start by throwing out Phil Dreck, A-Jello and McCheese. Then maybe they will get the message. No more PILOTS for multimillionaires, no more Metrograft regressive taxation and reassess the City at current values. Then cut County taxes 30% and City taxes 20%. Watch for a real renaissance funded by the private sector and not the taxpayer. |

There is a new BBQ place on Van Vranken Memphis King by Montesorri School. Have heard good things and wish them much success. |

I don't know if it was ever open after the first day, the Dreck office. There were protestors outside, I think he wants to avoid the electorate as much as possible. The Tots business is moving into the vacated consignment place on Woodlawn. |

I know it's not Union Street...
But does anyone know what happened to Rainbow Auto Body on Brandywine? |

I ate at Memphis King today and it was great. Low prices and large portions. The barbecue sauce was awesome. |
