Word in the Schalmont High School halls  - a substitute teacher was caught making out with a student in the school building by another teacher

looks like the school is vetting the help well

How do you mock an entire group of people, especially teachers?  You could say what you said about ANY profession and it does not make it true for the entire group.  And just the fact that your statement was right after a post that is obviously a rumor makes you look twice a foolish.  If there were merit to the story, it would have been all over the news.

I don't dismiss transgressions just because the media doesn't report it.  Jimmy Constantino did it for YEARS, and the guy won town elections.  It was always "just a rumor".  You ever hear of Steve Raucci?

I remember a teacher when I went to school that bought weed from the students.  It was known in the hallways.  Never made the news.  Probably retired with a nice pension.

I do not dismiss anything because the media does not report it.  But to believe a statement made by someone who has no proof to back it up is not the wisest decision either.

It would be nice if those we consider the authority, and that we rely on to provide proof so we can decide whether to believe or disbelieve accusations, always acted in the publics best interest.  Unfortunately, they don't.  I can't say it's true or untrue.  But I also know stuff happens in schools that would make your hair stand on end if you knew.

I don't know the motives behind the person that started this thread.  But it doesn't seem like they have anything to gain by posting the accusation.

In my experience on this thread, people post things just to get others riled up.  Or they repost old issues because they are bored.  I hate myself every time I get sucked into making a comment on something.

2 students from different grade with the same names of all three parties  - so either the school has a pedophile problem or a bully problem - or worse, both

Who would know better than the students of what is going on.....to say rumors can be foolish....well disagree....

95% rumors that have been heard in the donut shop are true.....there's favors in the media too.....

and all professions do have similar problems....and you never hear about it.....but everyone else knows it for a fact..

so don't get on a high horse and put someone down....especially if they have been there....

This issue has two sides

Schalmont  school claims to not have an issue with bullying yet if the accusation is false 3 parties have in a sense been bullied  3 names pulled thru the mud in a school where 1 student has committed susicide this year over non-existent bullying

The story is true and the state has a potential male pedofile for a substitute teacher in the teaching pool

Both issues are extremely serious and warrent a full investigation

one thing is for sure........if it ends up being true or not........this board is no different than conversations at the donut shop. AND....at least it gets discussed until there is a resolve....not brushed under the rug.

I don't always agree with some posts here.....but subjects are discussed until they die their own death....or until there is a resolve.

all I can say is that if it is true...........BRING IT TO LIGHT!!!

well for sure......Schalmont has the reputation for not telling anything that may tarnish them...

it's been ongoing for years......yet, it persists just like the Town government......

there is a resource officer there.....sure that he will be diligent enuf to pursue the facts.....

so let's see what happens......one way or another....truth sets you free...
