The Roe v Wade decision never makes the case that the fetus is part of a woman's body. The argument is, the mother does not have to be forced to carry the life to full term. In other words, the baby inside the womb is a parasitic life that a woman does not have use her energy and allow to fully develop. The 28 week limit put on abortions is an arbitrary number. Like Harry said, 5.5 months doesn't make the life inside the mother any different than at 6 months.
Again, nobody in their right mind believes the "potential child" in the womb is part of the woman's body. It doesn't exist in a woman's body without a donation from part of a man's body.
When Medical Science progresses to the point that a Fetus Transplant is possible, I wonder if these Right Wingers who force their Religious Views on others will line up to accept the unwanted fetus from a woman about to have an abortion. Will those Conservatives who believe that this "baby" is about to be murdered, just stand by and watch this "baby" be murdered, when they have a suitable empty womb that could save this "baby"? Will they just do nothing and let that "baby" die? Or will they line up to have the fetus transplanted into their body... One step further... should they be FORCED to accept this unwanted "BABY" into their body to keep it from being 'murdered' at the hands of an abortionist?
My guess... once the choice is to watch this "baby" die, or have it forcefully implanted into their body, those Conservative women will shut their mouth about abortion!

Probably not... I also think of it from the other side... what if Medical science finds a genetic marker for Homosexuality? Since I believe sexual persuasion is not a choice, some genetic "switch" has to exist... Will the GLB crowd then become pro-lifers when it comes to an abortion decision based on whether the fetus is genetically pre-determined to be gay?

If a "right winger" chooses to have a fetus implanted in their body, then 1 month later decides to abort it, a sensible person would ask 'why did you have a baby implanted in you in the first place?'. That's like signing up to be a foster parent, then not feeding the child.
55 million abortions since the Roe v Wade decision...That's an awful lot of FORCED pregnancies. Sounds like America has a rape epidemic.

You always seem to weave your hatred of America in your posts sissiero. You can always move to North Korea or Syria. They're your type of religionists and government.
Listen and listen good sissiero. You have the right in this country to have a backward opinion like taking away a woman's right to choose what to do with her own body. You even have the right to believe your women don't have the right to do with their own body as they see fit. What you don't have a right to do is stop a woman from doing to do her own body as she sees fit when it comes to reproduction.

Oh nooooo!!! You went all "you can move to North Korea" on me.LOL
Ok...Let's take your premise that society doesn't have the right to stop a woman from doing to her own body as she see's fit(I see you limit that personal freedom to reproduction) Why is a woman limited to do with her body as she sees fit in any other way? Let's say....getting a tattoo at 16 years of age? Now, a girl can get an abortion without parental consent under the age of 18, but not a tattoo? I never hear the "women's right to her body" crowd advocating for the right to tattoos, drug consumption, alcohol consumption, smoking tobacco, or even assisted suicide, or any other right a person would have to his/her body. How about the right to your body when getting on a plane? Do I have the right to not having my body groped by some pervert working for the TSA? Oh no, the state has total right to your body at that time. No outrage by you in the "right to your body" crowd. Only abortion. Everything else, the government has the RIGHT to tell you that YOU HAVE NO RIGHT TO YOUR BODY. Yes, that must be the "freedom" you joined the military to fight for.
And please, don't go all patriotic on me with your "hatred for America" BS. Unlike you, I don't confuse America with the government. I understand that to you it is one in the same.
You can try to muddie the issues all you like sissiero. Fact is your attitude falls right in line with anti-American regimes. The shoe fits.
Fact is sissiero this thread is about a woman's right to choose what to with her own body regarding reproductive rights. You believe women should be slaves. Like I said, you have a right to your backward opinions. In America, a woman has the right to choose- get over it. You can always move to Afghanistan or China. See, I didn't even mention N. Korea.

Ahh yes, you say dissent is treason, and exile is the remedy. Yup, and you say I'm anti American.
You are in the national guard? What a patriot you are. Some day you will be called upon to crush the dissenters - bet ya can't wait.

No, women don't have a right to choose, they have permission. They can only choose up to 28 weeks of pregnancy(may vary state to state), that is all the time women are permitted to choose to do with their reproductive rights. After that, it's a crime to do with their body as they see fit.

BINGO!!! it's all the chains that each political party touts as their podium.....as if they have a right to ANY permission..
shame on Box and posse...still with the bondage....hahahahahahahahahaha
10weeks 28weeks 30weeks 42weeks
why do they care? not their business....or IS it?
I say up to 42 weeks...and don't forget to have the sperm donor handy as the driver after the 'minor surgery' and the care taker of the post surgical patient....
...you are a product of your environment, your environment is a product of your priorities, your priorities are a product of you......
The replacement of morality and conscience with law produces a deadly paradox.
STOP BEING GOOD DEMOCRATS---STOP BEING GOOD REPUBLICANS--START BEING GOOD AMERICANS

Your post is not quite factual is it Cicero? You know... states rights! The states that have no time limits on abortion are Alaska, Colorado, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, Oregon, Vermont, and West Virginia.

I said it varies state to state. States that have no limits are still giving permission.

But you're a big 'states rights' guy... so where is the problem?

Not a problem with me, just pointing out the difference between pro choice is pro permission. You wouldn't want it any other way. Image if you really believe people could choose to do what they wanted with their own body? That would be anarchy!

Anarchy is your thing... it's your goal, unlike most Americans who believe in the Constitution and the results of that Constitution, a woman's "right" to choose.

You just told me the Constitution doesn't enumerate a "right" to choose to do with your body? Which is it?
