Cuomo: Conservative Republicans 'Have No Place' in New York
Saturday, 18 Jan 2014 12:02 PM
By Sandy Fitzgerald

Conservative Republicans have no place in New York with their right-wing views because "that's not what New Yorkers are," Democratic Gov. Andrew Cuomo says.

"Who are they?" Cuomo said on Albany's The Capitol Pressroom radio show Friday, reports the New York Post.

"Right-to-life, pro-assault weapons, anti-gay — if that's who they are, they have no place in the state of New York because that's not who New Yorkers are," he continued.

Cuomo said his words don't extend to moderate Republicans, such as those in the state Senate, who he believes "have a place in their state."..................>>>>..............>>>>..........Read Latest Breaking News from Newsmax.com http://www.newsmax.com/Politic.....547828#ixzz2qqw8UjTl

Democracy is the theory that the common people know what they want, and deserve to get it good and hard.

WHO DOES HE THINK HE IS? GOD? WTF!!!! I'm no conservative republican but he has NO RIGHT to tell people WHAT they are
or if they have value.....

saying what he said is no different than Spitzer gone a whoring.....

SHAME SHAME SHAME SHAME SHAME.....BAD LEADERSHIP....He'll try to quantify it by saying he didn't mean to label people, but
the fact is that he does....

projecting value on people is a dirty shame for a politician to do....he might as well have said people on welfare don't belong in NYS.

A TRAFFIC JAM IN NJ PALES IN COMPARISON

...you are a product of your environment, your environment is a product of your priorities, your priorities are a product of you......

The replacement of morality and conscience with law produces a deadly paradox.

Apparently New Yorkers are monolithic.  So much for liberal diversity.

You republican ultra conservatives like senders and sissiero need to grow some thicker skins. I'm a registered democrat, but unlike you ultra conservatives, being a democrat means doing what needs to be done that's best for the country not just some agenda- which is all conservatives are about.

Anti-personal liberties asshats who insist on taking away a woman's right to choose what to do with their own body have a right to have that backwards opinion. They have the right to not have their women get abortions. If an independent woman chooses to terminate a pregnancy- you anti-personal liberties folks just have to live with that.

No assault weapons is the minimum that should be banned. I'm not for taking away someone's right to hunt or protect one's home. I could go as far as allowing weapons in cars. If assault weapons are banned- then we know if someone has one, they are criminals. You wouldd know you need to call the police when someone has an assault weapon. They are breaking the law. However, I'm not against taking citizenship away from anyone who supports assault weapons. No matter how backward that opinion is.

If you're anti-gay in any way- including if you're "just against the sin and not the sinner" in that diddley squat bible believing nonsense way- you are a backward asshat bastard. However, you shouldn't be shot. You just have to accept that gays are just like you in EVERY way, except one. They were born to love the same sex. I have my opinions as to why this is an evolutionary advantage for our species, but the fact is- it happens and you conservative republicans (like senders and sissiero) just have to accept it.

Again- i disagree with this particular opinion of Cuomo. As a democrat, I can do this.

Cuomo is just butt hurt New Yorkers didn't register their guns, and with this little comment about conservatives you can see why they didn't. If he thought he had the support of the people he wouldn't have passed it in the dead of night without allowing the people to voice their opinion, it was an act of a coward. As far as gays go nobody I know actual gives a crap what they do, many conservatives might disagree with it but not many in NY feel the need to bash them or ban them. With abortion it should be left up to the states, democrats love it when it goes their way but cry like little pansies when other states do things differently.

Right to life have no business in NY, then all of the churches who believe in life at conception should move to another state? Cuomo needs to resign
and move to Germany.

I love watching outraged Right Wingers when they think that they've been wronged!

Gov. Andrew Cuomo in a radio interview on The Capitol Pressroom on Friday told host Susan Arbetter that there is a “schism” in the state’s Republican Party. Cuomo said in the interview that moderate Republicans in the Senate have been more successful than candidates who hold “extreme” views on abortion and guns.

The comments set off something of a nerve for conservatives, including the state Conservative Party and organizations opposed to abortion.

But the governor’s office says the reaction is taking Cuomo’s comments out of context.

Here is the full statement, posted on Cuomo’s official website:

“The New York Post distorted Governor Cuomo’s words yesterday, saying that the Governor said ‘conservatives should leave New York.’ The Governor did not say that, nor does he believe that.”

“If you read the transcript
, it is clear that the Governor was making the observation that an extreme right candidate cannot win statewide because this is a politically moderate state (either moderate Republican or moderate Democratic).”

“In the same response, the Governor went on to say ‘it is fine’ to be anti-gun control, and ‘anti-choice’ – as he respects both positions.”

“The Post can allow any person they want to publish in their paper, but if they are to retain any credibility they cannot be entirely reckless with facts and the truth.”

philosophy; that is, the search for a superior moral justification for selfishness.

You can claim what you want to claim you O'Reilly clone.

As far as your Cuomo comment is concerned- that response would have been more appropriate for Box. I'm not saying I disagree with Box. Unlike you and your ultra-conservative buddies, Box at least has well thought out posts and he thinks for himself.

Maybe you should consider seeing a therapist since your emotions are out of control.
