ALBANY, N.Y. —
Gov. Andrew Cuomo will propose measures this week to benefit some of New York's
more than 900,000 military veterans, targeting businesses owned by disabled vets
for some state contracts, according to administration officials familiar with the plan.

Cuomo is set to outline his agenda for 2014 in the state-of-the-state address Wednesday.
He also plans to hold a summit this spring on the needs of veterans and services for them
and their families.
Wall Street Journal

Thank You Gov Cuomo!

some are more equal than others

this is no different than corporate welfare

treating everyone different because of age/service/gender....we let the government do it all the time...could someone explain
that to me????

...you are a product of your environment, your environment is a product of your priorities, your priorities are a product of you......

The replacement of morality and conscience with law produces a deadly paradox.

the reason is...........this is the only way politicians get elected....by dividing human beings and pigeon holing them into groups....making some more valuable than others. shameful to say the least.

NY is not a equal opportunity employer as we see, some are risen to a higher level even if not the best suited.

fighting for their country.

I don't particularly agree with these policies, because much has changed over
the years....however, just like everything else, if people don't do what is right
someone always has to step in to push them to do the right thing....

Joe,
They don't complain about the wealthy getting special treatment, even though they don't need it...
they complain about some guy who got his leg blown off serving his country... and does need it.
If the same disabled vet is on welfare due to his wounds, they would berate him for not getting a
job!
Selfish is selfish... it's all they know!

They fought for the federal government.  The weapons manufacturers and bankers that push the government to war should be forced to hire them.  After all, their profits are made with their now maimed and disabled bodies.

that is why people are so 'freedom poor'....because they expect that getting hired by someone else gives freedom...

land poor makes poor

those who control the land control the masses
those who control the fiat control the masses
those who control the contracts control the masses
those who control the hiring control the masses
etc etc

feel free or equally controlled?

So for that contracts should be given to them rather then a company who can provide a better service or product and maybe at a cheaper price. Its funny how you mock some but defend your category when given the same special treatment.
