Wow, I guess the nayboobs should cheer for mother nature and the rain that melted most of the snow. There are is a cheerleaders cheerleader who claims the mayor and his team are doing such a wonderful job, but the fact is, the truth is that they are not as evidenced by the lack of a snow emergency declared as was explained the very very bad condition of Moyston St aided by a city who enforces sizes of numbers on a house (NOT NECESSARY) but that resident of Moyston St when he called about someone putting snow in the road or whatever, the city itself doesn't know who he should talk too. How many departments was the buck passed to, as he told the council Monday night? But there are those who cheer for the mayor and his team, blowing all the money on money and 100% tax to super ultra rich millionaires who can more than afford to spend their own money and pay full taxes But the mayor and his dems say "to hell with the rest of the city, to tell with the taxpayers. If mother nature didn't take care of the snow, the fire trucks would have had a problem getting in that street thanks to the mayor's refusal in declaring a snow emergency. Fortunately the one and only true representative of the residents and taxpayers of the city did say he was upset, and he gets calls all the time asking why doesn't the city do like Albany and Troy do. And he said he would bring it up next committee meeting. Thank goodness that the taxpayers have Vince Riggi on the council I hope the houe involved was not that Mr Rodriguez, he may not have the best speaking ability, but he tells the truth and he is passionate. No we are not up at this hour on x rated sites, we are just finished a big wrapping party with, um, family, extended family, extended family of extended family. We do have a houseful of family. |

Many years ago we had Cinemax, until I woke up one morning about 2am to find my youngest son when he was about two years old watching it, and at that time of night you know what type of movies are on Cancelled cinemax the next day. Was listening to the scanner and it sounded like four buildings/houses involved. Just hope everyone out safe and fireman ok !!! |

And of course the taxpayers in the city pay for the demolition.
Why isn't the mayor making the property owners pay? It is NOT the responsibility of other homeonwers to pay for the demolition of PRIVATE homes.
Perhaps rather than code enforcement going after the home owners for stupid crap like the size ore house numbers, the city should be requiring proof of insurance on all properties in the city.
Just sayin' |

I find it strange that the media has not released any info on the person who was sent to Westchester burn unit or the name of the persons involved in the fight in which one was sent to Ellis.
The intensity of the fires thankful not more were hurt or worse.
As for the demolition of the houses, wouldn't the homeowners insurance have to reimburse the city? |

I'm wondering about past cuts to our fire department, were they too many cuts? And what about that issue of not replacing the firefighters' safety gear as it wore out? Does our department have everything they need to do their job? I don't remember this many fires resulting in such total loss of property as we have now. I am not blaming the firefighters, they work hard, this is management of resources I'm questioning. |
