But tea party-inspired House Republicans did propel the country into a 16-day partial government shutdown that cost the still-recovering economy $24 billion, by one estimate.

I wake up every morning feeling the affects of this shutdown.  I walk outside, and it's as if the earth stopped spinning.  Devistating!

It doesn't seem is if the shutdown affected the drones dropping bombs on muslim countries. But national  monuments?  It was crippling!

No victim no crime, simple as that, if we followed that motto cops could be looking for real criminals that committed crimes with victims.

That was the funniest part, the government moved resources away from real problems to block off parks and monuments, it was a show to scare people of what the shutdown did. Some idiots bought into it.

They didn't have to move any resources...those resources were already assigned to those parks, monuments, etc.
and the resources worked for free at that time because that's a condition of their employment

so it must be the awful Government that is conspiring to fill our jails.....I repeat my earlier statement...
People need to accept responsibility for their own actions!  GET REAL!!!!!

The government is conspiring...That what the legislative process is. It is 535 people conspiring to make laws that criminalize behavior.  So yes, people need to take responsiblity for criminializing behavior they disagree with and that harms nobody.  So when an 18 year old kid is sitting in jail for an ounce of marijuana in his pocket, then you can proudly stand up and take responsibility for his incarceration.

They moved barricades and positioned them around open air monuments.  How is that not moving resources?  They used labor unnecessarily to block off monuments.

If as box and joebx like to claim, the people are the government, and if the people shutdown the government, how is the government that the people shutdown barricade the peoples monuments.  Unless...The government isn't the people?

Yeah just like they had the signs already made ready to deploy blaming the shutdown, it was a political show.

OH WOW...THEY MADE SIGNS AND MOVED BARRICADES.....EEEEEWWWWWWWWW!
Big friggin deal!

Let's see....
no signs...."Why didn't the government make some signs to inform the public why they couldn't enter the parks?"
no barricades...."Why didn't the government put up barricades with signs to show people they  needed to stay out?"

YUP, one way or the other the Government is screwed in the minds of a few.
SOLUTION:  Do something to change it or go somewhere that has the Government

lol...joey is back to distort...He has reached his mental capacity.  He can't wrap his little brain around the simple reality that government regulates human behavior using threats of violence.  I'm not distorting, I'm just not agreeing with you.  That is the reality, you just can't accept it.

I would never run for office...Not with people like you that would be expecting me to pass some law to control somebody's behavior you don't agree with.  Or granting you some special tax break.  I couldn't be the muscle to force the will of 51% onto the other 49%.  Not until that 51% want me to repeal all these silly laws whose only purpose is to modify personal behavior,  and just leave people alone.   Some people like yourself might get off on that kind of power to control people.  Some even think it's noble and service.

Cissy doesn't believe in Government... He believes in complaining about Government!

And transparent little Cissyboy is back to distort, deflect and denigrate.
Little Cissyboy games!

and Yup, you wouldn't run for office because it means you would have to step up instead of
whining about everything...you'd actually have to do something and be accountable instead
of just being able to blame the world!

Why couldn't people enter the park?  The government was shutdown.

I don't understand the logic of a government supposedly Of-For-By the people has the resources during a government shutdown to keep people out of an park, but don't have the resources to let the people in the park.  I'd like to hear Joey's brilliant government logic.
