Nature will correct the problem, it won't be pretty for us but it is inevitable. We will also help nature along as wars will be fought for resources to sustain our own little population within the countries borders. |

Yes I know... The Dinosaurs said the same thing a few million years ago. I have no doubt the planet will survive, but not our species. |

I think we will survive (not everyone) but our species. There will be a limit our planet can handle and it will balance out on its own. The real question is if it will be survival of the fittest or will a government try deciding who goes. If the government decides then they would have to take control over all farms and private property, any attempt at that would probably topple the government anyways. |

Wouldn't it be great if all these progressive socialists took their own advise and just 'offed' themselves in the name of saving the planet. |

the FLU is meant to fix the 'over population' but the government is getting into the business of mandating vaccines....either way the government will decide who is 'fit' or a virus will..... |

Yup! The TRex said to the Velociraptor: "I Think We Will Survive, (not everyone) but our species!"The TRex and Velociraptor were the bad@sses of their time... much like Henry with his cellar full of automatic weapons... they both thought they would survive because they were heavily armed and motivated to kill. Neither Henry or the now extinct dinosaurs saw the real threat and will meet the same fate as the rest. |

A series of maps produced by denisty blog Per Square Mile shows that if the entire world's population- 6.9 billion people- lived at the same density level as New York City, we could all fit within the borders of the Lone Star State. |

Different circumstances, dinosaurs didn't go extinct because of overpopulation, they did go extinct from what people believe was from lack of resources after a asteroid hit. They didn't have the ability to farm or to store food, preserve food, we do. You and me will be long gone before overpopulation is a real threat, don't sweat it. |

Different circumstances... Yea. They didn't see it coming either. If you're interested, and I doubt you are:
Quoted Text
Ocean overfishing is simply the taking of wildlife from the sea at rates too high for fished species to replace themselves. The earliest overfishing occurred in the early 1800s when humans, seeking blubber for lamp oil, decimated the whale population. Some fish that we eat, including Atlantic cod and herring and California's sardines, were also harvested to the brink of extinction by the mid-1900s.
Highly disruptive to the food chain, these isolated, regional depletions became global and catastrophic by the late 20th century. A study of catch data published in 2006 in the journal Science grimly predicted that if fishing rates continue apace, all the world's fisheries will have collapsed by the year 2048.
You and me will be long gone before overpopulation is a real threat, don't sweat it.Exactly... the time for action is now if you're going to change things in the future... I was never concerned for "you and I", and if that's all you are concerned with then, "Don't Sweat It". National Geographic http://ocean.nationalgeographic.com/ocean/critical-issues-overfishing/ |

Most of our fish come from fish farms, don't eat fish that much anyways. Besides there is nothing we can do to stop the inevitable, if you have a solution I would love to hear it. |

The major cities of the world, especially where the large population centers of poor people are in concentrated areas near the ocean. Many depend on the ocean to provide the only protein in their diet. The present rate of population growth is unsustainable. Like most problems that grow exponentially, the sooner you address the problem, the easier the problem is to fix. The time to act is 'yesterday' and the longer we wait the worst the problem becomes. one easy step... Free dependable birth control for those who want it throughout the 3rd world and developing countries. |
