First..........if social security was privatized and there was a 'melt down'....GOV ALMIGHTY would just print more money and bail them out just like they did the union auto workers and their other ' corporate friends and family' club! Kinda like they are propping up the stock market with taxpayer's money. Second and back on topic............these cops and vets are the 'real' GUN HUGGERS!!! And some with undiagnosed PTSD!!! |

If the Dems offered no good candidate then Bernie would do well in a presidential race. I can almost guarantee he'd get more than the best Libertarian so far... Gary Johnson. (Paul came no where near the total of Johnson's votes when Paul was a LIBERTARIAN, not a REPUBLICAN! Ron Paul couldn't even get 1/2 % of the vote.)
He wouldn't have a chance and if he was doing good you would see the rules change mid election to crush him. Delegates would be eliminated or barred from the conventions, slates would go missing or not counted at all, alternate delegates that were not elected would somehow show up and be elected, how do I know this because it took place this last election. You're in a dream world if you think your vote counts in this country, your only option is between 2 people that were selected not by you to be the candidates. I don't expect you to understand, your party already has you hook and sinker and they reeled you in long ago. |

Boo Hoo Hoo You keep making excuses for Ron Paul... such a sad sad story! How did a warmed over conservative Ross Perot get 19% of the popular vote??? How did that happen Henry??? Perot qualified for all fifty state ballots... something that Ron Paul (the alleged Libertarian) has never done! How is that possible Henry??? Why didn't Ron Paul qualify in all 50 states??? At one point in June, Perot led the polls with 39% (versus 31% for Bush and 25% for Clinton). Again... how is that possible that Perot running as an independent beat Paul running as a Libertarian Party Candidate??? Of course the answer is clear to everyone (except Ron Paul Groupies, of course)... Perot had something to offer voters. With no political party and both major parties opposing him Perot took almost 19% of the votes. Keep on making excuses for Ron Paul... Keep on crying "it wasn't fair"! Ron Paul appeals to a very narrow segment of society... and that appeal has been declining as America learns more about Paul's views. |

I'm going to say that all persons, vets, cops or any citizen should be treated equally.
Anyone who has never been diagnosed as being a threat to himself or others should have no firearms restrictions.
Just being in a profession and seeing horrible things is not a valid reason to take away their rights.
I don't believe that even being diagnosed with PTSD is a valid reason to take away a person's rights.
Only if a person has been diagnosed as a clear and "present" danger.
Making threats to someone 30 ye4ars ago is also not a "present" danger.
The socialist method of excluding entire groups or professions should never be allowed. |

Excuses? when there was obvious cheating caught on tape all throughout the country. For someone who fought in a war I figured you would have the balls to fight for your children and grandchildren, but I guess that is to much to ask, its their problem now I suppose since you are up there in age and only have a decade or so left in you. I wonder what your grandkids will think when they see the same corruption in our elections, I wonder what they will think when they ask why grandpa fought in Nam while our freedoms here were eroding. They will probably feel pity for you and maybe anger you didn't fight for what really mattered. |

If Paul or anyone else wanted to run as a REPUBLICAN, (even though he is ALLEGEDLY a Libertarian) or run as a Democrat, then you have to play by the party rules. Why did a confessed Libertarian try to hijack the Republican nomination any way??? Was he ashamed of his Libertarian views and needed the validation of the GOP to run for president??? Had Paul ran as a Libertarian Party candidate, he could have had some influence in his Party rules and regulations, but running as a Republican, what could anyone who puts their trust in the Republican party expect except lies and deception? BTW, Ross Perot got on the ballot in all 50 states WITHOUT the Dems or the Reps. What is Ron Paul's excuse for running in only a very few states? |

Actually I took a longevity quiz a few weeks back that measures your life expectancy based on your parents history, lifestyle, diet and outlook on life. It said that I still have 3 decades left. Enough time to see my kids, my grandkids and even my great grandkids well into their adult life. |

Yes that's true. I've survived 13 months of war, car wrecks, a broken back... etc etc etc. But I've lived a good life, been a lot of places and made a lot of friends. If my time comes tomorrow, I've had a good run. Or I may just live and go on skiing for the next 30 years! |

except for that skiing accident that hopefully you purchased a health 'care' rider for your choice of risk...albeit fun... |

I've skied with paraplegics, one legged skiers and even blind skiers. It's amazing what you can do if you try! See Below: Sit Ski Backflip http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qlqab5pMmuc |

...and with mandated health insurance, Obama promised people would live until they were 150. Box, I don't know how you made it all these years without being forced to buy health insurance. You're an absolute miracle. |
