That's right DV, avoid commenting on this. |

I don't blame them for stopping delivery, its just to bad the decent citizens have to get the shaft because of this. Used to be the scum were just down near Yates village but the whole street has gone to crap over the years. In the end this is going to cause bigger problems, for one the 1st of the month is coming up and 2 how many are going to use this as an excuse to not pay what bills they do actually pay for. |

People can't get mail now? That is ridiculous. This is not Beirut for crying out loud. |

Quoted Text
A U.S. Postal Service letter carrier was the apparent target of someone with a BB gun last week on Van Vranken Avenue. Now mail service to that area has been suspended, postal officials said.
Exactly how long service to that area will be suspended was unclear. Marion said it would be suspended “pending completion of the investigation.”

I feel bad for the tellers at the post office, I can see the people now taking their anger out on them over this instead of directing their anger at the scum who shot at the postman. |

And direct their anger at the Dem leadership, and plex, and their big (more ways than one) cheerleader. Spending the taxpayers' money on downtown, giving the taxpayers' money to the millionaire political cronies, which is causing MASSIVE reduction in the tax base, MASSIVE reduction in home values, MASSIVE increases in taxes people fleeing the city, often abandoning their homes. Keep spending the money on downtown, give tax exemptions to the millionaires, ignore the neighborhoods, and this is what DV says is an "Investment" in Schenectady, and of course he will not address the facts. Gee, where is the mayor on this? Any comment? |

I saw on television that this is becoming a problem elsewhere. There's been a bonehead decision made that mail carriers start delivery later in the day, which leaves them out after dark sometimes. People with a sense of entitlement toward the rest of us see mail carriers as the gummint sometimes, it's all the same thing. Or it could just be somebody finding an easy target. Gee, it's strange, the paper said that neighborhood made a comeback. |

This is hardly "news". In August 2011, the Postal Service stopped delivery to Bluff Avenue in Mont Pleasant after a carrier was knocked down by two pit bull dogs and bitten. |
