Yeah, and Queen Leeza wants restaurants to pay for the alleged huge cost for police when they (the restaurants) close a street.  Like that Pinhead Susan's said on TV one day that in all the years they have closed the street for some function they have once or twice a year, they have NEVER needed police to handle anything.

Perhaps Queen Leeza should propose legislation that people who call the police should pay a fee for when they call.  We can all come up with a suggested price list.  LIke you call to report a burglary, city will charge you a $100 fee for the cost of three police cars to respond (because that's about how many will respond).

Attendance at the "holiday" parade held in the Galesi Paradise is dropping by the year.

Look at the Gazette photo of yesterday in the main section of downtown, it's not 5 or more deep like it used to be in the days before the millionaires got their fancy schmancy new buildings courtesy of taxpayers at the order of the dems in the city, their cheerleader DV, and plex.

Obviously the city doesn't even want the news to report the attendance figures.  Rather the gazette reported more that typically "the parade attracts 20,000 to 40,000" people.  HA, Before the mayor of BS and his crony King Phillip issued a hitler order to change the parade date, there used to be well upwards of 50,000 all the time!

Quoted from Madam X
No, we HAD a parade, that Schenectadians wanted, the day after Thanksgiving, and it was changed, not because of people "wanting to shop" and "making it easier to attend", those are not the reasons the parade was changed, even you must know that. Once again, my post flew right over your head, and you start spewing nonsense in your zeal to be insulting. The parade was changed because of a few people, the changed date makes it impossible for some people who live out of town to attend, as they used to. That is what I said, and it is true, what you said is not true. People have had something they valued taken away, and you make dumb, nasty remarks about their misfortune. It could easily be moved back to the traditional date, and it should be.

You are the one who is being insulting, and everything that I have stated is IN FACT the THE TRUTH.  It was increasingly difficult to get commitments for people and groups to participate in the parade on Thanksgiving weekend as many folks do travel out of town to have Thanksgiving with family that live in other places.  Many people prefer to go shopping on the weekend after Thanksgiving.  Finally, merchants weren't exactly happy with Downtown traffic being tied up on one of the busiest shopping weekends of the year.

You make it sound like it was handed down on stone tablets that the parade had to be the weekend after Thanksgiving.  Over the years, it was scheduled in some years on the day after Thanksgiving (Friday) and on the Saturday after Thanksgiving.  It has been on the weekend BEFORE Thanksgiving for a number of years now.  Maybe, you don't like that -- but that is what the people who sponsor (which means "pay for and organize") want and a lot of Schenectadians are quite happy with that.

You had your cheap whine on this issue.  Now, we will all sit back and anxiously await your next cheap whine.  What will the all important issue be the next time -- the color that the fire hydrants are painted?  All I know is that it will be good for a few laughs.

DVOR, nobody else here agreed with your nonsense. And you are still wrong about why the parade date was changed. Once again, you take an opposing viewpoint just for the sake of disagreeing, and once again, you didn't know what you were talking about so you made stuff up.
