So, increase spending and raise taxes.

Brilliant.

That should put the last nail in the coffin.

You should run for Mayor of Schenectady.

Did you bother to read the original?
"....increase government spending to create jobs....
...by requiring corporations and the wealthy to pay higher taxes"

This is not an uncommon opinion of economists. Notice, there is no
intention to increase the cost to middle America directly, although there
could be a ripple effect to some degree. However, if it were to create more
jobs, that would bolster the tax base, and that could potentially offset any impact.

Increasing spending?

You can't spend your way out of debt.

Less government, less taxation, more money to spend and invest.

Investing in the government is what got us here.

Don't ya love the "less spending" view from the Extremists? Obama, the BIG SPENDER!

old spending or new spending? because an established budget is 'old spending'....new programs/increases are new....

because really they all have the same military budget.....

Let's not create jobs and get people off unemployment...that won't
help anything cuz L4L says so!

That chart represents new spending.

Obama has still outspent every other president.

Increasing the size of government only increases government jobs.

Did dumping a trillion dollars into the bailout increase jobs?

It sure increased the debt.

You are a full fledged socialist.

You truly believe that only the government can get anything done.

What about investing in Americans instead of corporations?

The Fed is a Metroplex on steroids.

The size of govt has shrunk under Obama:

Federal goverement workforce grew by 7% under Obama.

Good try MSNBC, using state and local government numbers to skew the statistics.  I wouldn't have expect anything less.

Until someone cuts the Fed by 10%, I'm not impressed.

The federal government has massively layered redundancy.

not to mention, laying track for national health insurance WILL create more government subsidized and straight up government
jobs...

management
policing
loss prevention
etc etc etc

all under the guise of better regulation for better outcomes......

from this day forward every time a politician shows up at a podium they will have something to say/create...
"I will propose legislation to help with colon cancer"...wham bam thank you ma'am for the mandate that requires some
federal egghead position be created...and it will require a whole office of eggheads.....

your national health insurance will have a 0.2% increase this year, next year it could be 0.4% etc etc etc.......

not much different than the hate crime/bullying crime/sex predator crimes....all micro managed by some puffed up politicians...

...you are a product of your environment, your environment is a product of your priorities, your priorities are a product of you......
