From Paul Nelson in the TU...SPD is looking for a masked man who robbed Moroccan restaurant Tara Kitchen on SAT night! The robber displayed a gun and fled with hundreds of dollars in cash. The gunman is described as 5 foot 8 to 6 foot black man with a thin build. Anyone with leads on another Downtown armed robbery is asked to call the SPD.

Death Ray and Morris were unavailable for comment. Why does it take 3 days to report this? Keep the implosion going!

Because the democraps will say it is made up, here is the article:

Downtown is really safe. really. It is.

I don't understand how someone could be so uncouth as to commit a robbery so incredibly close to...

The almighty Proctor's.

This is a disgrace. A small business robbed by a gunmen half a block from City Hall and it's is suppressed for three days while the suspect is still at large. Like with Bow Tie gang assaults suppressed for 4 months, further proof that the DEMS suppress the truth by any means necessary. This doesn't look good for the DEM do nothings running for re-election.

Jack, speaking of Proctor's Marv Cermak reported in the Times Union that Lisa Perazzo is running for Mayor next time and of course elitist Karen Johnson keeps running no matter what anyone says. Unless people wake up NOW Proctor's stooges will be running both the City and County. Nothing changes but the taxes double.

I'll speak on the Leesa trying to run for mayor on the thread that has already been started for that.

But another downtown robbery.   Now if you look in the paper, McC did comment, he says that they "are making progress" with the investigation.

How much progress can they be making if they are so desperate to request people call their TIPS phone number?   Perhaps the business is threatening to move out of downtown and McC would be too embarrasssed at yet another failure?

The funny thing is that McC as STILL NOT publicly commented on the Bow Tie gang incident.  Why not?

Hey there was a story in the gazette maybe Sunday about an incident recently, a guy entered, breaking in I think, to his ex girlfriends apartment and stole a pair of sneakers!  They names the guy, he was arrested and such bu stealing sneakers is worthy of a separate story beyond the police blotter?   But a gang assault in a taxpayer funded and tax exempt theater is kept hush hush?   Is that a problem?   If I can find the story about the sneakter theft I'll post it.

Notice that the cheerleaders for the dems and downtown are staying in their cave these days, too embarassed to come out and speak intelligently like normal adults and address the facts.

The county spends too much money on formaldehyde keeping these retreads running that it is unbelievable.

I have mentioned this before, I know, but when you have relative wealth smack up against desperate poverty, you will get high crime. When they allowed downtown to be the dump for the rest of the state, and even the Northeast, they sealed its fate. Mayor Al tried to halt the trend, but it was already too late. Look at all the taxpayer money BS spent to move that nuisance Poverty Palace up State Street, look at all the money we're spending to move those captive "homeless" men just a little ways out from State Street.
People who live in some of those other "gentrified" fancy-schmancy condos and townhomes in places like DC find out the hard way about crime. This isone of the real reasons people stopped coming downtown in the first place, it wasn't for lack of bars, there were too many scary types wandering the streets. We ALWAYS had a few men, what they used to call bums, downtown, they didn't bother anybody. We didn't have large numbers of so many YOUNG people, nothing to do, no way to support themselves, getting in fights, urinating in doorways, bothering people. Downtown was only "safe" because it was largely deserted, the more people come down there, the more victims you will get.
BTW, yesterday, on lower Union, there was a large, dead possum in the road in the middle of the afternoon. Near all the bars, what the heck, isn't it somebody's job to keep the streets cleaned up? Sheesh.

and just how did this guy get a gun with the SAFE ACT in place and if he is FROM NYC I really want to know how he got a handgun??  -just can wait for the story the GUN will tell

and by the looks of the response time it looks like business owners will need to arm themselves as the police can't control pre-teens in the city armed with a stare

See, that's the problem in shiny Downtown Potemkin Renaissance...criminals will flock to it!

Like moths to a neon light, criminals won't steal from their neighborhoods...there's nothing much there! But in Potemkin Renaissance...oh...there is much to gain.

Good thing Galesi, Mallozi and Morris don't foot any property or school tax bills, it will help when they have to add more security to their buildings.

See boys, you reap what you sow......

...ever hear of community guns??? well....they are there for the taking and probably leave a tip in the hiding space.

crooks have the means to the end of means.....and downtown is a "come on" for all perps....watch and see....it will become a habit....

and get more violent.....and we can thank society for that....I WANT WHAT YOU HAVE:.....THAT'S THE MOTTO THESE DAYS...

From Oct. 17 Gazette:

SCHENECTADY -- A fracas inside a downtown restaurant sent one person to the hospital.

Police were called around 11:30 p.m. Friday for a fight at Zen, 469 State St., police spokesman Sgt. Matthew Dearing said. The suspect fled down State Street. No description of the suspect or the fight was available.

The victim was taken to Ellis Hospital for treatment.

It's worse than I thought.

And it was said that the crime -- DOWNTOWN-- at the Bow Tie was an "ISOLATED INCIDENT."

Anyone notice the mayor has not made any public statement whatsoever about the Bow Tie incident.  Actually, based on that, I almost believe he may not run again in two years.

Apparently the mayor and his team are not spending the homeowners' money on crime prevention downtown either.

It's going into the pockets of their millionaire political cronies, it's the kickbacks to their cronies, the UNNCESSARY fancy lighting, the UNNCESSARY gold ceiling, etc.

Where's is is this forum's cheerleader for the dems who lives in Rotterdam.   Strangely silent????

Don't worry...someday the Gazetto will start comprehending that Downtown is not immune to crime.

Stealing the taxpayer money that shoulda' woulda' coulda' been used in revitalizing the neighborhoods and handing it over to Galesi, Mallozi, Morris and other Downtown Plex players yields some bad karma.

Well Metroplex hood...meet the other gangstas you stole from. They are living a few blocks up from your golden palace...and they want what you took.
