Good report on Ch 6 about these arsons.

They interviewed chief and McCheese, talking about all these abandoned properties that squatters get into and have fires to keep warm.

Gee, if the city focused on the neighborhoos instead of downtown, they'd have money.

Since there are so many abandoned properties, doesn't that tell you something?   People are leaving the cty.

It's 9 months since I called code enforcement about the broken windows in vacant house next to me, 9 months since I emailed councilmembers, have
had to call police as people going in through the windowns etc. And not one of the broken windows has been boarded.

The house/business on Albany St near Paige has burned at least twice, same house my neighbor found dead in, drive by that, the side windows are still not boarded, I think the city is hoping these places don't make the winter

Forgot to add that I even called fire admin office on Veeder, talked to secretary told her of my concerns about house being so close to mine and being
used, she said she'd call codes, told her been doing that with no results, she said she'd take care of it and I can hear the crickets chirping.

they'll all probably wait for elections to make a quick big impression so all the small minded folks(they think we are) will
see the shock and awe of their actions and vote for them...then DO NOTHING AGAIN...because they got elected.....

You're right, rp, they don't want the buildings or the neighborhoods, they want a glorious New Fort Schenectady, built with our tax dollars, and then if our neighborhoods just rot away, that will be fine with them.
MP got some shiny, "revitalized" tennis courts. Who says the city doesn't care about the neighborhoods? Tennis, anyone?

There's no shame they will all run again.

The foreclosure Capital. The pit bull Capital. The Girls Fight Club Capital. 1,000 tax foreclosures with hundreds more ready to go. But no reason to cut the budget or taxes?
We need more revenue by any means necessary because the inmates run the asylum and taxpayers go to hell. Over in Albany {another NE City} Mayor Jennings cut his
budget $500,000-never in Schenectady County. We must keep the flim flam going. Death Ray and Morris both need raises. Change is coming if
you want it. Or else see the State Control Board and Comptroller's Office.

there seems to be no self esteem either in government or the residents.....girls fight club...what is that????????....

a lot of the problem is the way the kids dress for school....UNIFORMS....UNIFORMS....if they need to be led like robots ...so be it..

the girls dress like ladies of the nite or thugs....the boys show their butts.....drsss with oversized shirts and hats .....and sneakers not tied..

even the teachers.....dress up.....and look professional.....and TEACH  ...not just talk......TEACH.....

just sayin'...times may have changed but professionalism has got to come back.....
