Schenectady Police search for missing 88-year old

SCHENECTADY, N.Y. – Schenectady police are asking for the public's help in locating a missing 88-year-old woman.

Florence R. Denice was last seen leaving 1315 Erie Blvd. at approximately 7:40 p.m. on Tuesday. She was driving a gold 2007 Subaru Forrester (NY SDA 907) wearing a maroon sweater with green sleeves and grey pants and thought to be heading to the Bellevue neighborhood where she resides in the city.  

Denice is described as being approximately 5 ft. 5 in. tall and approximately 140 lbs. with white hair.  She suffers from onset symptoms of dementia.

There is not a photo of Denice available at this time.

SCHENECTADY, N.Y. – A missing 88-year-old woman has been found, according to Schenectady Police.

Schenectady Police Lt. Mark McCraken has confirmed Florence Denice was found outside of their jurisdiction sometime Tuesday night and is doing okay.


Denice was last seen leaving 1315 Erie Boulevard shortly before 8 p.m. on Tuesday.  She was thought to be heading to her Bellevue Neighborhood.  Denice suffers from onset symptoms of dementia, according to authorities

that happened to our aunt once. she was only 1 mile from home....and didn't have a clue how to get home. (she said she was lost and nothing looked familiar to her)  She sat there crying until someone came and helped her.
