BREAKING: A judge has convicted Gloria Nelligan on murder manslaughter charges in the death of her 8-year-old grandson. She'll be sentenced Nov. 8.

Nelligan chose to have a bench trial -- meaning the verdict was rendered by the judge, not a jury.

A jury would have hung her. Bench trial was the only way to go for this murderer.

An 8 year old child lost...a horrific travesty.

Still, she was convicted of 2nd degree murder which is the worst she can be charged with.
The penalty is usually 25 to Life.

Her life will probably be easier in prison. The rest of the kids involved, their lives will probably be slightly more hellish. A real tragedy.
BTW, when will the cop testifying against her have his day in court, for pointing a gun in a kid's face? Are we stalling to be sure that whatever the outcome, he will have his 20 years in already, and be able to resign and protect his pension? Don't you think that, if the man is innocent, he deserves a speedy trial to clear his good name?
