Yes, politicians shut down open air memorials and blockaded them. How can it not be political? How else do you open the memorials if not through political pressure and your 1st Amendment right?
I don't think you do, if you did you would know the Navy adopted it, go look at the 1st Navy Jack. So is all of the Navy now Tea Party supporters?

Yea, that's why I posted it. That flag has represented a large number of groups throughout history and it's morphed into many different forms. Today it's the adopted symbol of TeaBaggers.

I admit they use it but they don't own it, I have a Gadsden flag tattoo, it doesn't mean I'm a Tea Party member or a member of the Navy. To me it has its own meaning and symbolism.

No one uses the USMC logo except by permission. It DOES represent the Marines and it IS trademarked.
