Irony indeed, seemed this vet and others had to learn the hard way about what their sacrifices really gave us and it sure as hell wasn't about keeping us free. I give him and the other vets credit though here, they had the balls to get themselves arrested to make a point and draw attention to how fcked up this country is. I wonder what those cops are thinking as they put those elderly people in handcuffs, probably repeating in their heads "this is my job, laws the law, this is my job".

A new Greenberg Quinlan Rosner Research survey that that by a 16-point margin, 43% to 27%, voters blame the Republican in Congress, rather than President Obama and the Democrats, for the government shutdown.
On the generic congressional ballot, Democrats now lead by double digits, 46% to 36%.
