If all these "investments" of our money into these projects is paying off in some discernible way, why has it become necessary to make cutbacks to our once fine library system?
Contrary to assertions I've read that Schenectady "needs" high-rise apartment buildings to attract "skilled" residents, "skilled" people look for things like an excellent library when they decide where to settle their families. Honest. It's kind of a moot point, because there aren't any "skilled" people coming here anyway, and even if there were, it wouldn't offset the latest wave of houses up for sale. We haven't hit bottom yet.

knowledge is power...reading is knowledge....evidently the government has NO knowledge other than how to take care of themselves.
