hey

exit 3......don't label a particular ethinic group....know other groups that lived in rotterda in the old days and complained......but now we have

one particular group in power.....that's the problem.....and they are all Dems....to boot.

no different than your use of AEIOU and sometimes Y  -  whether it be Jew, Pole, Catholic, Democrat or Black  - it is all the same intolerant thought and practices which degrades this nation

the point here is that the housing market is in the crapper. I don't care wth they tell you......HOME VALUES ARE MUCH LOWER THAN THEIR ASSESSMENT!!! We need to face the fact that our economy has already collapsed!!! The only thing keeps American's above water is the government stimulus tax payer money that is still being pouring into the stock market!!

THE ECONOMY HAS ALREADY COLLAPSED.....git it?

Nothing...and I mean Nothing is worth not even 1/2 of what it is priced at. From a stick of gum to a home to an automobile!!! We are IN a recession!!! Prices are inflated for their worth....EVERYTHING!!

so don't tax folks on a piece of property that isn't worth what the greedy realestate agents are pricing them at!!! Do your research folks!!!

And as far a folks buying new homes.....they're CRAZY to pay the inflated price to begin with AND pay the inflated tax on a false home market!!!!

No, bt, nobody gets it. New York can't be recovering when you see scenes like the one outside DSS in Schenectady, and you have a record number of people receiving foodstamps. They aren't all freeloaders, there are record numbers whose lack of income qualifies for these programs. It is the old breadlines of the thirties, but because of electronics, much of it is hidden today. There is no recovery, there isn't going to be a recovery the way things are right now. You can't have the few that still have decent paying jobs making up the difference in food, rent and healthcare costs for the people who have $8.00 an hour jobs. Obamacare is not doing a thing about horrible health care costs, it is making it worse for those who already had insurance to make things slightly better for a small number of people. And where will the rest of the money come from, for the people who are forced to spend their last $100 from their meager paycheck on a product they don't use? They will get a subsidy of free government money, to pay a private business for a product you don't even want, and where does that free money come from?
I'm digressing. All the houses are worth less, when there is an oversupply of housing. The problem is, as long as they tax you too much on an assessment that reflects the value of your house, there isn't too much you can do about it.

AMEN!!!
And wouldn't it be great if EVERY SINGLE HOME OWNER, held back on paying their taxes....EVERY ONE OF THEM.....if they only had the balls!!
The COLLECTIVE GOVERNMENT would then and only then, clearly take notice!!

Maybe make everybody write out a tax check to the local government four times a year, like renters, and people who make their living from the local taxpayers, as well. I know renters live in tax-paid housing, but a lot of them don't get that when they go to vote.
