Two men were arrested in connection with a Tuesday night armed robbery of a Crane Street convenience store, police said.
Haresh Brijraj and Feeiaz Yacob were arrested and charged with robbery shortly after the 11:27 p.m. holdup at One Stop Grocery at 729 Crane St., Lt. Mark McCracken said.
One of the suspects entered the store, showed a handgun and told the clerk to hand over the store's safe and cash drawer, McCracken said.
McCracken said the robber was spotted getting into a maroon Honda, which was stopped a few blocks away.
Brijraj, who was in the passenger seat, was arrested right away. Yacob, the driver, ran off, but was tracked down quickly, McCracken said.
Brijraj and Yacob, both 19 and of Schenectady, were scheduled to be arraigned Wednesday.
Optimists close their eyes and pretend problems are non existent. Better to have open eyes, see the truths, acknowledge the negatives, and speak up for the people rather than the politicos and their rich cronies.
