You know, I'm pretty happy these days when I get distracted and pulled away from what is going on here in Schenectady. When I look at the plain REALITY of it, the outrage makes me very discouraged. In a way, Mr. Riggi makes it worse. Here's a man, not a super genius, just an intelligent, honest individual, he lives in the same city I do, he reads the same news. He sees the reality. If he sees it, it isn't just my imagination. It's like a twilight zone episode. You hope you are wrong, but you can't ignore it by pulling the covers up over your head, it won't go away. IQ is pretty much a discredited concept anyway, but it's making a comeback. In recent times, it has basically been used to get a rough estimate of how retarded a person is, for treatment purposes, now it is being thrown around in the old-fashioned sense, for political purposes, which isn't a good thing, IMO. |
