Where would the Syrian WMD issue be if Obama didn't prepare to attack the the WMD's in Syria??? Did anyone else have a plan to remove them? Did any country campaign for their removal? Was Russia trying to remove the WMD'S before the USA got involved?
If this plan holds, the Obama administration will be successful in their removal. There is no way around that fact. |

Yes, that goes for the rest of America who doesn't want the government to forcibly take their money to bail ME out because of my poor planning...So I guess I am saying Screw ME too! Lol For those people that would voluntarily lend me a hand(American or not) in a time of need without government coercion - I am grateful for the help. That is a true act of kindness. |

OH! So you get it? It would seem to be that "context" is a one way street for Cicero! He only 'gets it' when he reads it, not when he sends it! |

Obama's plan was to maybe shoot a missile or something, or threaten to ask Congress if he could do something, in order to get Putin to remove chemical weapons from Syria? Wouldn't it have been easier just to ask the Russians to do that? And how does that punish whoever used the chemical weapons, which is what our President said he needed to do? |

I don't think Obama actually had a plan. And if the U.S. and Russian inability to live up to chemical weapons destruction agreements are any hint as to what Syria will actually do, Syria will remain a threat to the security of the Middle East region.
Two oppressive dictators have won Assad and Putin, the various international Human Rights agreements have suffered and the world remains unstable and far from peace. The Nobel Prize organization should strip Obama of his unearned (when given and since) peace prize award. |

Of course this agreement may yet fail. But if all parties do as they have agreed to, this will be a huge success for Obama. Was there any other proposal to remove WMD'S from Syria? Not by the Russians (until they saw what was going to happen if they didn't). Not from the British, not from other Middle East countries, not from Africa, other North or South Americans and except for the French, even Europe... there was no "plan" or resolve to remove Chemical Weapons from this civil war. Obama alone is the reason that the WMD'S 'may' be removed from Syria. Typically, those who hoped that Obama would fail are livid at the prospect of yet another Obama Success! |
