Is The US Going To War With Syria Over A Natural Gas Pipeline? Submitted by Tyler Durden on 09/04/2013 20:06 -0400
As we asked (rhetorically, of course) and answered over 3 months ago, why has the little nation of Qatar spent 3 billion dollars to support the rebels in Syria? The answer revolves, as usually is the case in the Middle East, around a pipeline.
Here are some additional perspectives.
Submitted by Michael Snyder of The Economic Collapse blog,
Could it be because Qatar is the largest exporter of liquid natural gas in the world and Assad won't let them build a natural gas pipeline through Syria? Of course. Qatar wants to install a puppet regime in Syria that will allow them to build a pipeline which will enable them to sell lots and lots of natural gas to Europe.
[ZH: And as we asked last week, why is Saudi Arabia spending huge amounts of money to help the rebels and why has Saudi Prince Bandar bin Sultan been "jetting from covert command centers near the Syrian front lines to the Élysée Palace in Paris and the Kremlin in Moscow, seeking to undermine the Assad regime"?] Well, it turns out that Saudi Arabia intends to install their own puppet government in Syria which will allow the Saudis to control the flow of energy through the region.
On the other side, Russia very much prefers the Assad regime for a whole bunch of reasons. One of those reasons is that Assad is helping to block the flow of natural gas out of the Persian Gulf into Europe, thus ensuring higher profits for Gazprom.
Now the United States is getting directly involved in the conflict. If the U.S. is successful in getting rid of the Assad regime, it will be good for either the Saudis or Qatar (and possibly for both), and it will be really bad for Russia. This is a strategic geopolitical conflict about natural resources, religion and money, and it really has nothing to do with chemical weapons at all.

MOSCOW, August 25 (RIA Novosti) – The United States is moving towards war with Syria, a senior Russian lawmaker said Sunday lashing President Barack Obama as “clone” of George W. Bush in his drive for war.
“Obama is restlessly heading towards war in Syria like Bush was heading towards war in Iraq. Like in Iraq, this war would be illegitimate and Obama will become Bush’s clone,” Alexei Pushkov, the head of the Russian lower house’s international committee, said on Twitter.

Host of CNN’s The Lead, Jake Tapper, anchored a special roundtable discussion on Tuesday night where he discussed with reporters and contributors how President Barack Obama’s push for military action in Syria is developing. Tapper observed that Obama is having difficulty assembling a coalition of international partners prepared to intervene in Syria. He noted that Obama’s efforts at assembling a coalition makes George W. Bush’s “coalition of the willing” “look like the League of Nations.”
“This makes George W. Bush’s coalition of the willing look like the League of Nations,” Tapper told CNN reporter Jessica Yellin after noting that America’s perennial partner, Great Britain, will not be supporting the U.S. in Syria.
“It is striking,” she replied. “And it’s one of these instances where you wonder if the U.S. should start to look for a different set of allies in this case.”
She suggested regional partners to support Syrian intervention like Saudi Arabia and Turkey.
Bloomberg View columnist Jeffrey Goldberg agreed. “It’s a perfectly normal reaction to say hey, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Kuwait, you think this is a terrible problem,” Goldberg said. “You have these big air forces — we know you have them, because we sold them to you — you go deal with this.”

Well, it looks like man-child Obama is going 'balls deep' over the next few days to drum up support for his next war (because Libya just turned out so well).
If you want to get ahead of Boxy, just watch any one of the Sunday morning political shows for a sneak peek into his talking points for the next week or two.
Come on people, get with it!
Killing is the ultimate problem solver.
Blowing up entire families and neighborhoods is good killing.
Sure many, many women and children will die, but it's their own fault for supporting their husbands and fathers who work for Assad.
Killing the innocent is ok when you need to send a message and teach them that wrongful killing is wrong.
Only good wrongful killing of the innocent is ok.
Killing people with wrongful weapons is wrong and must be punished by killing those who didn't actually kill anyone, but who we think might be capable of killing with wrongful weapons.
Death to all that we think might be capable of using a wrongful weapon to kill, even in self defense.
Friends, families and innocent bystanders are good kills. It's collateral damage and is acceptable while making good kills.
Now fuckking support Obomber before you get put on the list dammit!
Box, you are a shill. "Shill" refers to someone who purposely gives onlookers the impression that they are an enthusiastic independent customer of a seller or marketer of ideas, for whom they are secretly working, either for pay or merely to further their own beliefs. The shill uses crowd psychology to encourage other onlookers or audience members to purchase the goods or services or accept the ideas being marketed.
You are shilling for Obama.
He is your God.
A God of death and destruction who you worship.
You have absolutely no concept of right and wrong.
Once again you support actions that will kill babies.

That's almost as reliable and possibly more than ABC, NBC, CBS, CNN, MSNBC, FOX. And certainly more reliable than anything coming out of the State Department. Remember Benghazi was the result of a spontaneous protest over a YouTube video? LOL!

Yeah box, you have the "reliable" sources.
Right! You can believe "RUSSIA" as a "reliable source" or you can believe Bumbler (and Sarah Palin's ) Lame Stream Media!

Sh!t, I know Russian sources are serving their own government interest. It's just that you believe US media is serving US citizens interest. I know their both lying. I don't need to read the lies of either to determine government propaganda deceminated through US corporate media or Russian media to know that any reporting on Syria is in the interest of wealthy powerful people in the government or corporatacracy. They would just like the consent of the peasants before they send them to die and spend their money.

No Cicero. I believe US Media, for the most part, is serving the public by reporting actual NEWS.
