Numerous people in the Glens Falls region reported that their homes shook Sunday morning, and a 2.3 magnitude earthquake was confirmed to have been centered 5 miles south of Warrensburg. No damage was reported.
The movement was felt just after 9:30 a.m. A Warren County emergency dispatcher said a slight tremor was felt at the county center, and the agency field a half-dozen or so calls about it from the Queensbury area. A rumbling could also be heard from the temblor.
A Washington County dispatcher also reported feeling the quake in Fort Edward, but said no problems were reported.
The U.S. Geological Survey website confirmed the quake a half-hour or so later Sunday, reporting it was centered 5 miles south/southeast of Warrensburg
